I posted this in the California forum, but I think it got lost so I'm posting it here!
Who here is applying for the CSULA nursing program for Fall 2014? What are your stats? Have you taken the TEAS exam yet? I'm excited!
I have not taken the TEAS yet, but have my date scheduled for Oct. 25th.
Hi angel thanks for answering our questions. Regarding the C and lower grades.....do you get kicked out of the nursing program if you fail a class (C- or below)? I mean what percentage of people who got in make it to graduation?
No, u will not kicked out from the nursing program if C- or lower achieved. By the way, do not worry, 99% of the students passed all the classes, trust me, I took 6 classes for each of the first two quarters and passed all. As long as you study, U will be fine. The classes are NOT more difficult than the prerequisites, the only thing is you need to take more classes in a limited time. FYI, if you failed one class, the program doesn't allow you register for the second quarter, and u need to wait until next fall to retake the class--that means one fail can delay your graduation by A YEAR. And I believe you have two chances to retake classes, the third time failing will lead to be kicked out based on the student handbook. Do not stress yourself out before starting. it is the time to cheer and celebrate. All I wanna say now is ENJOY YOUR SUMMER, AND YOU NEED IT BEFORE NURSING SCHOOL!! Again, congratulations to all of u got accepted!!

Yay thanks!
So you don't recommend working par-time? 6 classes wowzers! can't imagine taking all that and still working in retail.

I am glad I get a ton of time to study my own classes while I'm at work..
As long as it's not super busy in the tutoring center, my boss lets me study and focus on my material before exams and stuff… Sometimes I have scheduled anatomy/physiology workshops, and nobody shows up… I get to study for hours...
PLUS, my boss is actually trying to get into the nursing program…lol
So she will probably want to see the material and study with me…. :)

You're lucky you get to keep your tutoring job once school starts. Retail on the other hand....don't even have time to sit.

I like that the classes are 2 days a week but hate that they are from 8am to 7pm
