Csula Fall 2014 applicants..

Published

I posted this in the California forum, but I think it got lost so I'm posting it here!

Who here is applying for the CSULA nursing program for Fall 2014? What are your stats? Have you taken the TEAS exam yet? I'm excited!

I have not taken the TEAS yet, but have my date scheduled for Oct. 25th.

Can you tell me what your schedule was like for fall semester? i'm a little confused on the schedule! Did you have classes on Weds and Thurs all day? (only the nursing classes)[/QUOT]

For the first quarter, you can make your schedule 2 or 3 or 4 days a week if they don't change it. 5 nursing classes, 3 lec+2 lab. Someone really made two days a week, which I think is too stressful, especially when the exams come together, so i made mine three days a week, and I felt good. I didn't make 4 days b/c I dont wanna drive to school that many days.

So I won't have class from 8am to 7pm on weds and thurs?

So confused!!! Lol I'm looking at the fall 2013 schedule..

I guess it doesn't matter because I will be attending anyways but this will help me when it comes to finding child care

Just look at the schedule… The same class number, NURS105 for example, is offered on multiple days by multiple teachers… You can take it on a Wed or a Thurs, but you have to take it at some with All of us will not be in the same classes at the same times….

This is what I was confused on because some are offered multiple days multiple times with the same section number but the labs have 3 different section numbers

What are you talking about? All of the 105's say "LAB", All of the 225's say "LAB", All of the 273's say "LAB"

Some of the classes we will all take together, as they only offer it one time...

Yes, I know that. That's what I am saying, the labs clearly have different section numbers, whereas, most, if not all, the lectures only have one section number but is "offered at different times." this is what i was confused about.

I actually cleared up a little bit of my confusion myself. When I go to search classes on GET, not all of the classes pop out. If I go to search classes on the schedule planner WAY more classes pop out for each class (I am looking at the Summer 2014 schedule).

OK, for the 5 classes you are gonna take in the fall, 100, 272, and 214 are lectures, which only offer one section for each, that means you take with all your classmates have no choice of what day u gonna take them. 105 and 273 are labs, which offer 6 sections for each (10 students x 6), they are the classes you can choose your own schedule.

In a hospital...

he meant where as in which ones lol....my cousin is in the program and he said the choices of Cedar Sinai, Kaiser Baldwin Park and I forgot the other one

Back when I was volunteering at Kaiser Baldwin I would always see CSULA nursing students being all fancy with their preceptorships. Haha now I'm going to be in that position :)
