Csula Fall 2014 applicants..

I posted this in the California forum, but I think it got lost so I'm posting it here!

Who here is applying for the CSULA nursing program for Fall 2014? What are your stats? Have you taken the TEAS exam yet? I'm excited!

I have not taken the TEAS yet, but have my date scheduled for Oct. 25th.

This is from a past thread regarding clinicals from a CSULA student...

"My theme has been to try a different hospital each term to get a feel for what is out there. I've done LAC-USC (fundamentals), Huntington (OB), Glendale Memorial (med-surg), Aurora Las Encinas (psych), Children's (peds), Pomona Health Center (community health) and this quarter Cedars (critical care). I'm in a different program with a smaller class size, so you will probably have more choices than I. Anything else I can help you with, just let me know."

I don't know if things have changed since then, but it was the only one I found that named hospitals.

Man I'm so anxious to start doing something nursing school related. Like Buy books or something!!! Im so burnt out on the pre reqs I can't wait to start something new.

In a hospital...

The clinical sites change all the time, just the opposite of the classes,which almost never change, lol. Clinical can change at the last minute. Every quarter is different. So it requires some flexibility. For example, they might not have all the hospitals set by the time you register or move a whole group of students from one hospital to another before school starts. Everything can happen.

Seems like we will get a lot of different experience from clinicals, in a variety of hospitals and specialties... That is awesome!!

Yes, i talked to someone in the admissions office and thats what he told me. It's just because i have a class in progress

Mine did as well. But i have had micro in progress... I am also enrolled in a summer class, but they dont know that, because i have not given them an updated transcript.

I think it's more because of the in progress courses

What class are u taking during the summer? Poli sci?

English 102, im taking poly sci next year, online, in a cc course also.
