Csula Fall 2014 applicants..

Published

I posted this in the California forum, but I think it got lost so I'm posting it here!

Who here is applying for the CSULA nursing program for Fall 2014? What are your stats? Have you taken the TEAS exam yet? I'm excited!

I have not taken the TEAS yet, but have my date scheduled for Oct. 25th.

Through get... I looked at last falls,,. They never change schedules unless it's not working

I was looking at last fall's schedule, and there are multiple offerings of identical courses with different days/times/professors. So you can tweak it to three days, if you need to.

But I think I'd rather go twice….

Right now I have four days, two are 12-6pm, the other two are 8am-10pm, and 8am-6pm… So , I'm used to the long days… And to have 5 days off would be SUPER nice…. a lot of time to study, and sleep in…lol

You're lucky you get to keep your tutoring job once school starts. Retail on the other hand....don't even have time to sit.

Ya, I love my job… I get paid to study science…lol

I was gunning for the position.. I wanted to make money, but still stay fresh on all my sciences…

Now, I get to keep fresh on all the subjects, AND learn about 5 different curriculums from 5 different professors on each subject I tutor… I learn sooooo much from all the different angles and focuses of teaching from a wide variety of professors.

Make sure you're reading the schedule right because some classes are the same class at different times but u gotta attend both times

Yay thanks!

So you don't recommend working par-time? 6 classes wowzers! can't imagine taking all that and still working in retail.

It is really up to you whether to work or not, I don't work, but I Know some classmates work and did better than me in school, lol. Everyone is different, learning ability is different, too. If you wanna work, I recommend work a day or at most two, b/c the first quarter is a little frustrating, not b/c it is hard, u just need time to get used to it from CC to nursing. Don't be afraid, I never thought I could take 6 classes within 10 weeks, but it happened. Not scary at all. Let me know when u have questions, about school or classes. No stress, I never stayed up to study in nursing school. Not very bad, right?

Lol damn you have your life made right there. Paid to just sit there and study without the stress of grades. Can't get better than that.

For the first quarter, you can make your schedule 2 or 3 or 4 days a week if they don't change it. 5 nursing classes, 3 lec+2 lab. Someone really made two days a week, which I think is too stressful, especially when the exams come together, so i made mine three days a week, and I felt good. I didn't make 4 days b/c I dont wanna drive to school that many days.
