Even though I have no intention of attending as a chem major, I still have to pay the $100 dollar deposit by May 1 to remain eligible for a spot in the nursing program should one become available. I suspect this will greatly increase my chances though as i'm sure many on the wait list won't want to cough up 100 bucks with no guarantees of getting a spot in the program.

I also applied for Fall 2014 at CSULB. My points are a little bit lower than I would have liked but I'm hoping the lack of activity in this thread is indicative of a lesser amount of applications this fall. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!
