CSULA- ELMN 2012

I thought we should start a thread for CSULA ELMN summer 2012 applicants since applications are due next month and I'm interested in talking to other people that are applying. Does anyone know how they choose acceptance- is it based on the same point system as their BSN program? Also, does anyone know if they look at cumulative gpa or just the last 60 semester/90 quarter units? There's a few quarters my sophomore year where I slacked off on some classes, but my last 2 years have been much better, so obviously I would prefer that to be weighed more. CSULA seems to focus more on grades than other schools I plan on applying to as there didn't seem to be much room for volunteer experience, certifications, etc. outside of the essay so I'm a little nervous. Anyhoo, I would love to get to know other people who are also applying & any info from people who have already went through this process before would be awesome : )

I interviewed fairly early in the process (Mar 9). Anxiously awaiting a response!

Have any of you started getting your titers tests done?

I interviewed on March 7 and it's been a long wait to hear the admission decision! Only a few days to go, I guess...

I had my titers drawn but am still waiting for the hepatitis result. I have to get the 2 step TB test done too.

Well, let's keep each other posted. Here's hoping Monday will be decision day!!

I interviewed on Feb. 24th. I hope she even remembers me, for heaven's sake!! that's one of the drawbacks of interviewing early. Monday can't come soon enough.

I talked to ---- today, she said decisions would be out on Wednesday, since the last 5 interviews are on Monday. Soon! Almost there!

Thanks jellybean! When I interviewed 2 weeks ago she had said she would start calling people Monday, yesterday. So I was freaking out a little that I didn't hear anything. Now I can attempt to relax today and not be checkin my phone/email like a crazy person. I want Csula so bad...

YES! I just got the acceptance call from the director. :) So excited!!! I didn't ask her any questions because I was so happy so I don't know what the cohort size is for 2012, etc. She said she will be sending emails this afternoon/evening as well.

Anyone else? I can't wait to meet our cohort very soon!!
