  1. Well, I've officially accepted my admission and sent in my deposit! woohoo! A little later than the rest of the troupe, but I've accepted nonetheless!
  2. Well, I haven't heard back yet, so I don't have too much hope. I suppose I should start filling out a response for for my 2nd choice!
  3. @nzickler Since we all applied to the direct-entry program (meaning we have no nursing background, and they required no pre-requisites for us), there was no way they could ask us any clinical questions.
  4. congrats susan007 and anewnurse79! i'm sitting tight, waiting to hear either way--email or phone call!
  5. anyone heard yet?!
  6. Unofficially at the moment, but I'm about 90% sure I will be. I got an extension on my date to reply if I was in or not to this coming Friday. I'm just awaiting to hear back from one last school this Wednesday.
  7. @hale.bale The hybrid program is not the same as their traditional program. The lectures would be offered online, but all the lab and clinical work would be the same. The big drawback is that if you go through their hybrid program, right now you would only be able to specialize in Nursing Administration. They said we could have the option of working for 6-9 mos as an RN after the initial portion, but we would have to apply to the other tracks and compete with the other students to get in. If I wanted to do that, I would be applying for an accelerated BSN, not to the direct-entry. It's just a gamble with our educations if we decide to go through the hybrid program to try to get some other specialty.
  8. @KKandes What specialty did you apply for? I'm on the waitlist for FNP.
  9. I talked to ---- today, she said decisions would be out on Wednesday, since the last 5 interviews are on Monday. Soon! Almost there!
  10. @ Kcarm Not sure. I am not interested in Nursing Admin, and I don't know if I want to take the risk of applying for the FNP program later. I'm out on the West Coast, so it would be a big relocation for a gamble. I am waiting to hear back from a few schools, so I'm sitting tight for now. Are you considering the program?
  11. Hi all, I'm new to this site and I'm just checking out all the schools I applied to. I found out on March 9 that I was not admitted to the traditional Direct-Entry NP program, but I was admitted to their new hybrid Direct-NP program. Has anyone else gotten a call about this? I had no interview, just straight admitted to the hybrid program.
  12. Hi all, new to this thread. I interviewed fairly early in the process (Mar 9). Anxiously awaiting a response! Have any of you started getting your titers tests done?
  13. Hi all, New to this site, apparently I've been missing out on all the dialogue that started in August! I was accepted for FNP, still have not sent in my response yet. I am waiting to hear back from another school this week, which will determine where I end up going. I'm bummed I'm so late to the conversation!
