CSULA ABSN 2016

Hi everyone! I haven't seen a thread started for this yet so figured I should start one! I'm applying to CSULA's ABSN program for Summer 2016 and am about to submit my application in the next few days. Who else is applying? Figured we could all support each other and keep each other updated during this nerve-wracking process :)

Did anyone ever receive an email on instructions for applying to CSULA through CSU Mentor? In their application process information, it states we are supposed to be emailed by someone but I never got an email regarding that portion of the application. Has anyone else?

It's so difficult to wait and nth is coming through. I feel like my life is on hold for this. I am

planning to get CNA certified, if I don't get accepted to the program this year. So the certification will help me next year, and will make me a better candidate.

I know what you mean Apisha, I feel like I have to plan everything around this as well! Is CSULA your top choice?

Also, has anyone else received interview invites? I had my interview yesterday. I think it went well but you never really know with that kind of thing! She was very nice and overall it was a smooth experience. Admission notifications will be before April 1st and for the last two years those admitted were called on March 25th and 26th. I wonder if it will be the same this year!

Hi everyone! I received an interview invite on the 25th. I just read through this thread and didn't even realize they'd been sending out invitations since January... I guess I'm glad I didn't find this thread till now or else I would've been really anxious LOL

I do hope they send out decisions by the last week of March. I've been admitted to another program that requires a deposit by April 1st if I'm to attend their program.

@truffles CSULA is my first choice. So far, I've been accepted to two programs, and I have been invited to interview at 3 other schools including CSULA. Denied from UCLA - not a surprise as I knew I wasn't a good fit for their program. I thought my interview went well, but I think I could have done better on the writing part despite usually being a strong writer (so much easier to edit on a computer under a time constraint versus handwriting). Oh well. Trying to have faith that we will all end up in the right program in the end. Hope the next few weeks go by quick!!
