CSULA ABSN Summer 2021

Hi Everyone!

This is a forum for CSULA's Accelerated BSN program starting June (Summer) 2021. 

Applications just opened & are due in January. I was surprised that there wasn't a forum already created so thought I’d create one so we can keep each other updated ?

LOL no, I used Cal State Apply for two other schools but it was a different year cycle so I had to do the application all over again. I was like damnn haha. 

But it wasn't so bad the 2nd time around since I had done it before.

You too! This was literally my 5th application. Needless to say, I’m happy that’s it’s over.

For those who have finished the CSULA main school application online:

Do we have to pay that $70 fee? 

I just got into UCLA's MECN program. I'm pretty positive I'm going to go there. Is there any reason why I should keep moving forward with CSULA?

Yes we have to pay the fee!

Congrats!! Completely up to you. If it's your top choice and you're pretty set on going, I'd save the 70 bucks and email to decline my spot. I know I wish CSULA could tell me if I'm in before spending money applying to the rest of these programs LOL.

Congratulations!! That's amazing. I'd say if you are sure, then accept the UCLA program and decline from CSULA to save money. I think I read that you have to apply to CSULA on Cal State Apply by Feb. 28th at the latest, so you can always take a few days to mull it over before you spend the money on the application.

Hi guys! I logged onto the CSULA-GET student center page and there are 2 "preliminary college transcripts" listed under the to-do list. It is due by March 1st but I'm not sure if I have to order a third set of transcripts since we sent 2 copies in our application packets. Have any of you guys also sent an official transcript to the university itself?

Hi @enneadri, I asked for clarification regarding this, and was told we did not need to send another copy of our official transcripts. 

Also, @Potato_ph, thank you so much for the advice! I got it to work out of pure frustration.

I was about to submit my Cal State Apply application and then noticed that it says there's a deadline of 01/01/2021...Did anyone else see that on theirs? It says for the Summer term so I'm confused why that would be the deadline ?‍♀️

Hello!! It also said that on my page but I wouldn’t worry about it since the application instructions tell us specifically not to apply to the university until further notice ? I was still able to submit it!
