CSULA ABSN Summer 2021

Hi Everyone!

This is a forum for CSULA's Accelerated BSN program starting June (Summer) 2021. 

Applications just opened & are due in January. I was surprised that there wasn't a forum already created so thought I’d create one so we can keep each other updated ?

I got an email saying I need to send official transcripts from one college for the CSULA Calstate Apply application. Did anyone else get this? Should I send them just in case?

I just emailed Jennifer and she said that we are good - no need to send another set of official transcripts to the Office of Admissions. Since we sent the nursing school 2 sets of official transcripts I believe one would be going to the CSULA admissions office. Hope this helps! ?

Hello!! After you submit the CalState Apply application, you should get an email within a few days and it has the link and the user/ password and instructions for logging in on there!

Hi everyone! I am glad I found this forum. It looks like some have received interviews and others have not but were invited to apply to Cal state LA? 
I was invited to apply to the school last week but have not gotten an interview. I sent in my application really early and got the confirmation on 12/31/20. So I am curious how this all works. I would assume I would have gotten an interview already but I was invited to apply so maybe I will still be invited for one? 

Any insight would be helpful! Congratulations to everyone who received interviews! 
Btw, my stats are science GPA 4.0 with overall GPA 3.9, 2 years of working as an emergency department medical scribe with some hospital volunteering dispersed throughout the few years prior to Covid.

Thank you for the response! That makes me a little more relieved. I figured that they would send out invites to interview after acceptance to the actual school. 
But hearing that people already interviewed makes me nervous!

She told me during my interview that she’s going to email a decision to everyone who applied by March 26th. It’s her firm deadline. For those who were interviewed, you may receive an email offer sooner.

Do you mind stating your stats + healthcare experience? I am trying to decide if I should be hopeful or not. Thanks in advance & sorry if you have already stated them, there are a lot of messages in this forum ?

I received some inside info from someone in the nursing program, and they were told that about 70% of the interviews have already been completed! I think most people who received interviews got slot times a month out from the email invitation. So judging from that, all final interview invites might’ve been sent out a month prior to March 13. I could be totally wrong.

Did anyone who applied for the college receive an email stating that there are preliminary college transcripts needed?  I got an email stating this, but they are also not asking for all the schools I have attended.  So I find that odd.  Is everyone sticking to not sending any other transcripts despite getting messages that say otherwise?

Hi, I understand feeling anxious and I don't mind sharing my stats.  I have a 3.8 overall.  4.0 in prereqs.  88% on the TEAS.  Volunteer healthcare exerience.

Yeah I am not sure, because I was invited to apply to the university itself last week. So it wouldn’t make sense for them to do that if they had already sent out all interview invites!

I emailed ----------------------- about this and she said that it is an auto generated email from the admissions office and that there is no need to send in additional transcripts. 
Also, thank you for sharing your stats! Mine are very similar. I am hopeful for both of us!
