Hello all,

I am surprised that there is not a single thread for east bay for fall 2016.

Anyway, I am just curious the statistics for admission and know some potential classmates form this site.

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Have you decided on which nursing program you will be attending?

Hi K1996, not yet... how about you??

Not yet! I'm still waiting on answers from a couple schools

I've been looking things up to help get a little planning ahead going in case I do get in... I don't know how anyone not already from the area affords to live up there! It seems like the rent is extreme, housing competition is fierce, and part time jobs don't even seem to pay much more than other cheaper places in the state! It's freaking me out! How does anyone do it? I was getting excited about the prospect of possibly getting in but now I feel like even if I did there's no way I can afford it! Boo :(

Where are you coming from RayRay? If you choose the Concord campus, you will find cheaper rents out that way. Try Clayton, or a little further out, Pittsburg.

Yes, RayRay rents can be pricey here. Are you coming from the Central Valley? Concord, Clayton and Pittsburg would be good choices. I think Hayward may have on-campus housing. Maybe that would be an option? I agree that rent for off-campus housing in the Hayward area would cost more.

I spent most of my life in the central valley so I am used to the idea of rent around there which I know is considered cheap compared to everywhere else. I've lived the last few years on the coast though and while it's definitely more expensive here I guess I've just been really lucky! Nowhere has been anywhere near what I am seeing when i look! I'm hoping for concord for sure if I do get in. I can't do student housing because my bf will most likely be moving with me :/ It's just all a bit of a shock I guess.

hey guys,

have you all heard back? I haven't received anything from the nursing department.

Today was the last day to accept for those who initially got offered admission! So I'm hoping that means we will start hearing back on Monday!

Really!? Omg I haven't even received anything not even a rejection email....

Hmmm that's really weird! It seems like we all heard back on April 25th! I would definitely contact them on Monday.

I spoke with someone from the nursing department a few weeks back and they said they would not be contacting anyone from the waitlist until after May 20th. I hope that means we will start hearing this week or at least the first week of June.
