CSUEB fall 2016

Published

Hello all,

I am surprised that there is not a single thread for east bay for fall 2016.

Anyway, I am just curious the statistics for admission and know some potential classmates form this site.

GPA:3.75

TEAS:90

have healthcare experience.

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Thanks rayrayb for posting that you are in the top third. My scores are very close to yours and I am on the middle third of the waitlist. I hope that means I am closer to #26. I live in Walnut Creek and have three kiddos so if I get in will definitely choose Concord campus so I can be close to home if there are spots left there. Let us all know when you receive your acceptance!

Congratulations to all who were accepted! I was accepted but will be declining my position, just to let all of you who are on the waitlist know. la9MFCKoIaKIlaHjVuttgx238A8l+oISTPknrAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC Don't give up hope! Lots of people people apply to multiple schools. Good luck!

Hi NinaFani707,

I would choose based solely on location because both schools are great choices. Whichever is closer to your home and life/work situation is where I would go. You're going to be very busy, the last thing you should have to worry about is wasting time on traveling back and forth to school, clinical's, and such.

Hi Koolfish,

I'm in mid the middle third too! I live 20 minutes from campus and have two small kiddos. Praying for acceptance. Good luck, I'm 100% positive we will get in.

Hi Ninafani707,

I completely agree with Ladybug84. You don't want to spend extra time commuting when you could use that time to keep up with the program.

Thanks so much for your feedback, Ladybug84!! I appreciate the advice!

Yeah, the extra 40-50 minutes a day in commute time isn't something I'm looking forward to, but then finishing a half year earlier does sound very appealing. Then there's the difference in clinical sites (more renowned in East Bay), but then there's also the fast pace of the quarter system which I'm not used to (plus the toll from bridge crossing)! So much to consider!

I think CSUEB is switching to semesters but I am not sure the time frame on that.

Hi all!

I have been accepted for fall 2016!! I'm so excited!! I'm wondering if anyone knows whether we have to attend both a transfer orientation AND the mandatory nursing orientation, of if just the nursing orientation will suffice.

Thanks!!

For those of you who have already accepted enrollment, could one of you let me know the dates of the orientation(s) if you already know them. I'm on the waitlist and want to hold the dates on my calendar just in case. Thank you!

Hi Koolfish,

They do not have the dates yet for orientation. I was told it would probably be in late July or early August (which makes it very hard to plan!).

@MyAimIsTrue thanks so much for responding. The planning part does get a bit tricky.
