CSUEB fall 2016

Published

Hello all,

I am surprised that there is not a single thread for east bay for fall 2016.

Anyway, I am just curious the statistics for admission and know some potential classmates form this site.

GPA:3.75

TEAS:90

have healthcare experience.

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

I'm a Concord campus student for the Pre-Licensure FALL2016 Quarter.

Has anyone addressed the new requirement via Castlebranch?

It's asking us to upload more TB Docs, as well as Hepatitus C Titer docs, depending on what Clinical Site you are assigned to.

I was under the impression that Concord Students didn't have to do the N95 Masks, but this requirement on Castlebranch (directly below the Sigma Theta Tau consent form) is asking us for these things.

Has anyone received an email regarding any of the topics I've covered above?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

That is weird. I have something similar that was uploaded last night (7/29) with a due date of 7/15. My notice also says not to answer the questions until I receive my Winter Term Clinical assignment and only asks for TB tests. It doesn't mention anything about Hepatitis C. I wasn't aware there was a Hep C vaccine how could we show positive titers? I never even received an email. Castle branch is very frustrating. They still haven't cleared my mumps documents I submitted 3 weeks ago.

@ Ladybug- I know how much you were hoping to get in the program. Hopefully, there will be more movement in the near future. If it helps, I have heard great things about LMC but I know it is not ideal to have to bridge after the program is done. Also, many of the nurses I know from volunteering at Kaiser actually have a 2 year ADN and are bridging while working. It is not impossible to get a job with just the 2 year degree.

Thanks Koolfish,

I work at kaiser now, I have many co workers who have completed nursing at LMC and have yet to get a job. They are still looking. Hopefully I hear something next week, I mean hey, after all I still have until 9/14/16 to hear something. I am going to keep telling myself they will call me next until it happens. When it does, is it email or a phone call?

Trying to maintain a positive outlook which is very hard!

Thanks again!

For me it was an email.

Specializes in MICU.

Anyone that is going to the Hayward orientation tomorrow could you please let me know the time and where exactly we go to sign in? After work this evening I noticed I had an email saying that a position had opened at Hayward and that I was next on the list to switch campuses! Of course it also said that if I'd like to that I need to attend the Hayward orientation on Aug 2nd... tomorrow haha. It has been a mad scramble to get things taken care of with work and such, but I managed and I will be there! :) In my state of panic, I totally forgot to confirm the time and where it would be taking place!

Hello Ladies/Gents, Haven't used this site in a while, thought I'd check it out, and happy to have found this thread. I am In the Fall 2016 cohort for the Concord campus. Ready to start this new journey! If there are any groups created for the Concord Campus, please share. I'm happy to meet you all and share this experience with you.

Thanks!

Congratulations for those admitted students.

I got in and I picked Hayward campus because it is closer to home.

Would you mind me asking what your stats were like? Also if you were waitlisted? Sorry I plan to apply next Fall and I want to get an idea where I would stand! Thanks!

HEllo would you be able to tell me what your first semester schedule was like at the concord campus. I applied for this fall 2017, I am military so I am waiting to see if I am accepted. I just wanted some extra information about the first semester at the concord campus. As far as the schedule thanks

Hi Jade_01

The campus is actually on a quarter system (Sept-Dec) and transitioning to a semester system in Fall of 2018. My schedule was as follows (most students had something very similar).

Monday a 3 hour skills class

Tuesday a 2 hour seminar, a 2 hour pathophysiology class, a 2 hour theory class

Wednesday I had no class

Thursday 2 hour patho class and a 2 hour theory class

Friday (4 of these) I had a lab

There is some down time where you are not in class but they do fill it with quite a bit of assignments, etc. It's hard work but doable. Hope that helps.

Yes It did thanks, also I have my LVN. Did any of the students test out of the available semesters?
