CSUEB fall 2016

Published

Hello all,

I am surprised that there is not a single thread for east bay for fall 2016.

Anyway, I am just curious the statistics for admission and know some potential classmates form this site.

GPA:3.75

TEAS:90

have healthcare experience.

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Thanks, yes 2.5 months is a lot of time remaining, did not look at it that way. How many students does this program take? I can only hope that they speed the process along. Hopefully, they send out offers to more than one student at a time. I remember Koolfish saying that it's moving along slowly because they are going down the list one student at a time. I'm worried because at this point haven't most schools already sent out their offers? I called the school and there is 7 to get to me, when do you think it would be ok to ask again? It seems like I am harassing them almost. :D. I was thinking about checking in every two weeks. I would like to check every week but hate to bother the dept.

I know how tough it is! It drove me absolutely batty! But there is definitely still time to get in! I'm sure there will be people over the next 2 1/2 months that either can't attend anymore or choose to go elsewhere. Considering the amount of students this program takes altogether, I think that's a lot more likely to happen than at a lot of other schools. You are right about them accepting up until the 20th too. School starts the next day, the 21st I believe! I know it doesn't feel like it, but there is still plenty of time! By the way when they send you an offer, you get a week to respond I think.

Ugh, is anyone else struggling with Castle Branch? I hope uploading documents is enough to meet today's deadline, even if they end up being rejected. I'm finding that two-step TB documentation to be especially frustrating...

Ladybug I am pretty sure it is 120 students total between the two campuses! Seems like a lot compared to most programs. I honestly really do think it's possible that 7 people will change their plans over the next 2 months or so. Who knows how many accepted students are waitlisted at their preferred school! Just stay positive and I'd say every 2 weeks is probably best. Although I know I'd want to check in every day haha!

Myaimistrue I have definitely had trouble with them! I don't like the way things are set up, the site sucks, and they've been little to no help. I called them the other day and I was #22 on hold! I can tell you that you are fine even if you miss the deadline though! I talked to the school because some of my things are running a bit late. They said as long as the stuff is in before next Friday you are good. If it won't be, the nursing dept said to call them! I've had quite the struggle with both castlebranch and the actual requirements, it's been a mess! Can't wait until this is all done and we get to get started! :)

Hi rayrayb, good point. I'm going to check in again in about 2 weeks. Hopefully by that point they call me first. Thanks for your insight, I think I have a good chance.:)

@MyAimisTrue. Yes, I am finding Castle Branch to be difficult. They rejected my TB tests even know I have had a negative test every year for the past 3 years. I am now getting another but the information is on two sheets and you can only download one. I guess I will have to contact them next week. I have an extension since I just get into the program but feel your frustration with the process :)

Hi,

I had trouble with this too but eventually figured it Out. It won't let you upload again once you hit submit. So I deleted my prior submission. But you can upload two separate documents. You just upload one and the the other and then hit submit if that makes sense!

Anyone else having problems signing up for the BLS/First Aid course?

No, that was relatively easy for me. What are you having problems with exactly? And which date did you choose? I signed up for Aug 30.

I am trying to sign up for August 30th. When I click through the link on the orientation packet it only lists July 21st for a different campus.

Try calling the nursing dept. They are very helpful over the phone. They're also helpful via email, but it takes longer.

I figured it out. The company sent me a new link and it worked fine :)
