Hello all,

I am surprised that there is not a single thread for east bay for fall 2016.

Anyway, I am just curious the statistics for admission and know some potential classmates form this site.

GPA:3.75

TEAS:90

have healthcare experience.

Hi Rayrayb,

I will be taking all the classes required for Fall except nutrition. I have taken introduction of nutrition back in 2014 summer in a CC, so I think it is based on all the classes you have taken. Maybe that is a different nutrition class school requires?

Oh gotcha! Since you said you signed up for 2 classes already I figured you must be taking other classes as well. So you signed up for nursing ones then? I thought they said we wouldn't be able to until orientation?

That's what i thought at the beginning. Then I looked at the schedule and something like "65/55", all the sudden, I believed that class was full. That's why i signed up for two. In fact, classes are still open. Overall, I was able to sign up for classes which is weird.

For those already accepted, can anyone tell me what schedule will be like? Is it a M-F program? Any info will be appreciated.

Woohoo koolfish! Congrats!!! :) ladybug I've been looking over the schedule for the first quarter and it looks like it's M-T for Concord (maybe even T-T for some) and either M-T or M-F at Hayward depending on what group you are in for one class. Not 100% but that's what it looks like! You can get an idea of what it's like through the class search option.

That is what it looks like to me also. However, I am not sure how clinicals will fit into that in later quarters. Ladybug, if it helps with planning the orientation is August 9th for the Concord Campus.

Thanks, that helps. So far I decided to go to LMC unless I hear back from being on the WL. Sucks cause I have to pay for the background checks and such as part of accepting a seat in the program. I don't want to miss an opportunity so that's ok I guess. I'm holding off on the lab kits for now and the books. Still hoping for East Bay. I haven't heard anything from the school yet, not sure where they are on the WL at this point. Just waiting, hoping, and praying that I will hear soon. Seems like everyone on this discussion that was on the WL has been accepted so far. I think I am the last one left in the middle third of the WL? Anyone else still waiting?

Also, Koolfish and rayrayb, have you already registered for classes? Must be exciting! Congrats again.

@Ladybug...When I spoke with the nursing school last week they said it was taking longer because at this point they are going through the list one person at a time. I would call and check in. It can't hurt. No, I haven't registered for anything yet. I have already taken all my GE classes so all I need are the nursing classes. We are suppose to sign up for those after orientation. Right now I am trying to pull all of my medical records, drug screen, etc. together. Hang in there. I bet you will hear soon.

@ coolfish when is your deadline to submit your healthcare documents? (TB test, physical, blood titer...)

I think we do register nursing classes at the orientation. They said to look it over, get an idea what you want, and that they give you priority numbers to register there. You can only enroll in the others like nutrition, psych, etc right now. I'm very excited though because after I got an email that said I hadn't taken nutrition and needed to, I got an email 2 days later saying I had and didn't need to. So glad that was taken care of because I don't know about you all but I wasn't looking forward to 16 units the first quarter!

Mauijen everything is due next Friday June (woops July I mean) July 15th!

I agree. I have already taken Pathophysiology but I think I will repeat it. It was the hardest class I have ever taken. I am not looking forward to taking that again.
