Hello all,

I am surprised that there is not a single thread for east bay for fall 2016.

Anyway, I am just curious the statistics for admission and know some potential classmates form this site.

GPA:3.75

TEAS:90

have healthcare experience.

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Thanks for the info, did they tell you that before they accepted you? I wonder if it is best to call? I've emailed early on but was told that they have no new information at this point. For now, I am just following this discussion to get information. I hope that it speeds up soon and that space is still available or becomes available. Is the price of the drug screen and background check expensive? Also if anyone has any new information, please share. Fingers crossed, I hope that I am accepted soon.

@Ladybug...When I spoke with the nursing school last week they said it was taking longer because at this point they are going through the list one person at a time. I would call and check in. It can't hurt. No, I haven't registered for anything yet. I have already taken all my GE classes so all I need are the nursing classes. We are suppose to sign up for those after orientation. Right now I am trying to pull all of my medical records, drug screen, etc. together. Hang in there. I bet you will hear soon.

I just paid $137 for the drug/background check. When I tried to email I never even got a response back. But when I called last Friday, the woman was very helpful. She actually looked up my name and told me I was close. I got the email that a spot was open the next Thursday. I would call and explain your situation. LMC starts mid August right? They have to be close to you.

Hi koolfish, the school has only given me helpful information once. They say they can't disclose information such as where they are on the waitlist. I last checked in a few weeks ago, I haven't tried to call in. Maybe I should try that.

LMC starts August 12th.

Thanks for you help.

Anyone done any research on the book bundle yet? Is it really cheaper to buy it all together? Thanks!

Hi for planning purposes and assuming I get in, what is the price of the book bundle if you know yet?

Anyone done any research on the book bundle yet? Is it really cheaper to buy it all together? Thanks!

The price of the book bundle is $1200-1400 dollars which includes all of the books you will need for the program.

I'm getting a bit worried that I won't have all my health requirements uploaded in time! Apparently my blood work has to be sent out to a bigger lab so it will take longer than normal. Supposedly I'll get it on Friday, the day it is due for me... That has me worried! Also my drug test could only be done at 1 location 30+ miles away from me! It also has incredibly limited hours that do not work at all for my work schedule. Stressing out! I know it's a long shot but did anyone happen to get an extension or discuss the requirements/due dates with the nursing department at all?

No worries Rayrayb! Yes,I got an extension! I did not have health insurance. Luckily I finagled my way to get it through covered California because I had recently moved and they were lenient on me. However, this meant I would only be able to make appointments starting August 1st! I got an extension until August 15. Call the Hayward campus and they will understand. I spoke to Rona at the Hayward Campus. She said the castle website would still show it overdo despite the change that she made on her part. She told me not to worry and that my spot would not be taken because of this. :) I hope this eases your worries friend! Call in as soon as possible, I hope you can get an extension too.

Thank you so much that really eased my mind! :) I went ahead and called and they stated that they won't check for about a week after its all due anyways. She said as long as everything is in by the 20th-22nd it would be no problem but to call if anything would be later than that. So hopefully that helps if anyone else was worried about either!

Hi all,

Pulling my hair out:nailbiting:, so close yet so far! I've been told that there are several people ahead of me 7 to be exact.:arghh: Please keep fingers crossed for me. From what I have read, though no guarantee from year to year, that I will have a chance but I remain positive. Any thoughts? I can't ease my mind. I'm going camping next week so hopefully, I get a nice email before I leave or have one waiting for me when I return. On that note, for those previously waitlisted when you received an acceptance email, how long did they give you to respond? I am so trying to keep calm and think positive, now I see exactly how people felt earlier. It is especially hard when you are so close, and for the wait in general for that matter. I was told spots are filled until September 20 but not certain if that info is correct especially since class starts that day. Ugh, what to do? Praying, and hoping, and wishing and praying all over again.

Have a great night all!

Also if anyone else is waitlisted keep us posted, and good luck to you.

I know how tough it is! It drove me absolutely batty! But there is definitely still time to get in! I'm sure there will be people over the next 2 1/2 months that either can't attend anymore or choose to go elsewhere. Considering the amount of students this program takes altogether, I think that's a lot more likely to happen than at a lot of other schools. You are right about them accepting up until the 20th too. School starts the next day, the 21st I believe! I know it doesn't feel like it, but there is still plenty of time! By the way when they send you an offer, you get a week to respond I think.
