CSU Los Angeles School of Nursing (CSULA Fall 2011)

Published

How many here has applied for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at CSULA?

I know it is a little bit early to talk about this, but I just submitted all of my grades, TEAS scores (ATI sends them to CSULA SON for you), and notification of health care work experience (dental assistant) from an employer.

It has been a long and anxious wait till April/May for letters of acceptance to come in, so I hope this thread can help everyone who is dealing with the same anxiety and stress that we are all dealing with.

So If anyone would like to share their overall "points" score, or questions regarding pre-reqs TEAS etc. I would be alright to share all of you mine, and answer some questions that I might know.

Thanks and godspeed everyone!

Oh if you were accepted toy should have known what to do by now. Haven't you been turning in transcript all year long?

Lol Congrats on your acceptance just make sure all transcripts are up to date for both admissions and SoN

Hey,

so I did not get accepted to CSULA nursing program but I was admitted into the school. I am going to go to CSULA in the fall, do you think that if I re-apply to the Nursing program again I may have a better chance of getting accepted once I'm in the school? I got a letter saying that they didn't take me in do to my teas exam score =(... I have all of my pre-reqs complete from my previous school. Also, do I declare a different major now? How does this work?

Stay there and retake the TEAS.

Maybe better your grades?

Good Luck!

Anyone know what time of the month will fall registration appointments be distributed on the GET accts.

I believe fall registration will begin either on the first or second week of August.

Yeah, thats general time for most schools.

So...I haven't received any additional info. since my acceptance letter. Has anyone else received more info? I was informed by the SON that I would be receiving some packet of info during the summer about orientation, registering for classes, etc. but nothing yet...

As far as I am aware of...July 14th is the deadline to submit final transcripts to CSULA admissions and SON and July 7th is orientation for all students of all major that is admitted to CSULA for Fall 2011. So is there going to be a separate orientation for Nursing students only or is July 7th IT?

If there are additional deadlines // information I've missed, please let me know! Thanks :)

As stated in your acceptance letter, the SON's orientation will take place in September. Last week I dropped off my final transcripts to both schools, and I was told that the orientation package for the SON will be sent in August. As far as I know, there are no other deadlines to meet. Enjoy your summer and see you in the fall!

hi guys!

congrats on being accepted to csula son :) i can't wait to meet you guys in the fall! btw, just a quick question. do we have to send in our csu ge certified form to both the csula admission and to the csula son? i know we have to send in our transcript to both of them but wasn't sure about the csu ge form. anyways, i look forward to your responses! :)

csulb vs. csula which one is harder to get into? and which one has a better reputation?

Hi, everyone!

I have a quick question . . . I'm applying for fall of 2012 and as I have calculated, I have 23/31 pts.

With all the budget cuts and becoming more competitive, would you say I have a chance of getting in?

Also, my school doesn't do plus or minuses on grades, so for example I receive a B in Anatomy in my transcripts... should I count that as a 3.0 although I know it was a B+, which is higher than a 3.0?
