How many here has applied for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at CSULA?
I know it is a little bit early to talk about this, but I just submitted all of my grades, TEAS scores (ATI sends them to CSULA SON for you), and notification of health care work experience (dental assistant) from an employer.
It has been a long and anxious wait till April/May for letters of acceptance to come in, so I hope this thread can help everyone who is dealing with the same anxiety and stress that we are all dealing with.
So If anyone would like to share their overall "points" score, or questions regarding pre-reqs TEAS etc. I would be alright to share all of you mine, and answer some questions that I might know.
Thanks and godspeed everyone!
if you go to CSULA, the best major to change into is Health Science. 98% of your lower division GE's, and 100% of your Pre req GE's from nursing are transferable.
that was my back up actually. When I was doing Pre-Nursing, I was under Health Science, and all the courses that I took under health science were also pre-reqs into nursing.
I'm a second year, and if I didn't make the program, I would have finished the rest of health science upper division, and get my BS degree in 1 1/2 years.
but with that degree, I would be able to get my masters in health care administration, or apply to the 1 year Accelerated BSN program at Mount St. Mary's.
I hope that helps!

I believe, and Mr. Suave can correct me if I am wrong but if they are done they don't increase your chances. But it does count as you overall gpa not your pre req.
You need to apply to the university BEFORE you apply to the SON cause if you look at the application it asks when you applied to the university.
