This thread is for those who are aspiring a seat in CSU Long Beach's School of Nursing for Fall 2010.
We all know the current impaction of the program. We are all familiar with the challenging process.
We understand the competition between all the applicants. You are not alone!
I submitted my application yesterday and I must tell you the relief I suddenly had.
I have worked hard the past two years of my life and there is nothing else I can do but pray and hope. =]
Has anyone else turned in their application?
Thanks Andrew for letting us know! I just found out as well by phone that I got accepted by the university. It's weird though before I got accepted, the message said that they have all my transcript and nothing is missing. And now that I am accepted they haven't received it? It must be a computer error or something. Anyway, Congrats!!! See you guys at the meeting!
Hello all,
I wanted to share this with everyone (for some of you have interest in these areas). The new brochure is available for everyone to view through CSULB School of Nursing website. I've noticed that it says:
Notification of Admission Status: Ninety (90) students are admitted each Fall and Spring semester. Candidates will be notified by the School of Nursing of their admission status by mail by the 4th week of April and November.
Trimester Program: In addition to our traditional six semester-three year program, the School of Nursing offers students who have been accepted into the program the option of entering a trimester program that can be completed in just two years. The curriculum in this program is exactly the same with the exception that the course work is scheduled over the summer. Selection for this option will be done by lottery at the mandatory new student orientation.
Alternates: An alternate list will be selected. An alternate is admitted to replace a candidate who withdraws from the program before the end of the first week of the semester. Because there is no waiting list, alternates not admitted will need to re-apply to be considered for admission the next semester.
Instructions for Candidates Who Have Submitted a Supplemental Nursing Application for a Previous Term: You will need to fill out another application, but you do not need to resubmit any supplemental documents we already have on file (TEAS score, transcripts) unless there has been a change since your last application. However, applicants should contact the nursing office to find out how they can become for competitive before they submit a new application.

Janebui10 No problem! I am glad you have a back up plan. Unlike me I didn't have one, but thank God I got in. I hope you will too!
Congrats Andrew Fung! When did you find out?
