Any CSULB nursing students use AP credit in their GE reqs?
Hey guys, looking for some advice from any CSULB nursing students who used AP credits to fulfill one of their general education categories when applying. In my case, for the College Composition category, I skipped our equivalent of English 100 because I got a 5 on AP English Lit. There are no equivalent courses at my school for any of the other courses in that category. I did email the admissions coordinator but all she told me was to submit my high school transcript (I've asked this question twice, same answer both times), and I think I got away with a B in the actual class... but does that mean they use that grade to calculate your GE score? Or do they use your AP score? I'd be really disappointed if it were my class grade - it was the score that got me the college credit, not my grade in the class. Thanks in advance!

CSU Long Beach School of Nursing (Fall 2010)
Congratulations to all you guys! Hopefully I'll be one of you lucky ones next year =) Out of curiosity... Did anyone get accepted who DIDN'T have a 4.0 in either their science or prereq GPA? If so, can you please post your stats (including TEAS scores)?

A&P 1 Spring 2010
Anyone have tips for getting down bones? Luckily I have a great start to this semester but seems like bones will drop my grade. Very overwhelming to know all these different kinds. Our lecture exam on them is next Thursday but our practical, thankfully, is not till next next week.

CSU Long Beach School of Nursing (Fall 2010)
NursingStudent0611 - Wanted to comment about 605 traffic. My boyfriend lives in Montebello, goes to CSU Long Beach (business major though!) and commutes using the 605 every day. I live in Torrance and occasionally use the 605 to get to that area. He usually leaves around 7am and it takes him about 20-25 minutes during that time to get to campus for an 8am class. From both his and my experience, starting at 2pm-ish and maybe ending around 6 or 7 there is ALWAYS traffic (like, super slow traffic) where the 5 meets the 605 but once you get past that hot spot, it's almost always good. It's on both directions too, north and south. I can't remember if he's ever mentioned that traffic popping up when he's going TO school, but seeing as it doesn't take him long to get to school, it's probably minimal. I would guess that since you're from West Co, add about 10 minutes to that commute. With the exception of the stupid 5 traffic, it's a decent commute =)

CSU Long Beach School of Nursing (Fall 2010)
Good luck to everyone here! I'll be applying for the Fall 2011 semester from El Camino :) I wanted to ask/clarify if anyone knew here -- I read somewhere else on allnurses that if you do not get into the nursing program, they deny you admission to CSULB itself. Is this true?
