:crying2:

Okay, let's have it. Have you made it through a semester yet without at least one good cry? I keep saying this is the semester when I'll be tough; no tears are gonna come out of this tough gal.... but stress and life always leads me to a good cry.

Is it just me, or are there other crybabies out there, too?

i guess i need to add tissues to my list of school supplies!:chuckle

I cried the night before every psych clinical. I hated being there. However, I made an "A" in the course and passed clinical, so I did ok, but still HATED it.

Yep, I am a closet crybaby, too! I cried a few times during the first year ( in the privacy of my own home, Thank GOD), mostly due to feeling completely overwhelmed when trying to prepare for clinical the night before. I cried the first time I had to do it, thinking that there was no way in God's creation that I could get it all done in one night. Then I cried the night I went to pick up my assignment and discovered I had TWO people!!!!! I was having enough trouble with one!!!! :chuckle I thought she was JOKING making me prepare paperwork on TWO! I had a total of 42 meds to look up and fill out med sheets on! UGH!

So, i had a good cry, got it out of my system and quit feeling sorry for myself. Usually, that is what a good cry does for me....knocks me out of my pity party!

I'm a crybaby too - not only when I get frustrated and depressed with the whole college/study/not having time for a life sort of thing, but I also cry at the news, at movies, weddings, even letters! Waterproof mascara is my mainstay in life LOL! Seriously though, it does worry me - if I can still be reduced to tears whenever I think of the children who died on 9-11, If I cry when I hear in a letter from a friend that they were upset because one of their friend's daughters recently died of appendicitis (and I don't even know her or her family), then how the heck am I going to cope in a hospital? Children are my big 'thing', I will be reduced to tears every time that I hear of something bad happening to a child. Most of the time I will avoid watching the news just for that reason. There will definately have to be a BIG packet of tissues in my pocket when I start clinicals!

Paint.

Would you like some cheese with your whine LOL? Just kidding. I have never cried in class or in clinical, but when I get home WAH WAH WAH! Throughout the entire semester, I am cranky and curse alot, but about a week before the exam I start balling because, I am stupid, I will never learn this, I have no idea what questions will be asked, or which way the wind will be blowing when the instructor writes the question. Should I study from the book? Should I study from the study guide? Should I study from my notes? Should I study from the NCLEX book? Get my drift! This is why I start crying before every test. Then when I get my test back and I did really well I forget about the crying and stress that happened the entire week before. The worst is when you get your test and you don't know the answer to the firsst question. Don't you just love nursing school?

:rotfl: That's hilarious!

Speaking of cursing a lot....we had one VERY sweet, church-going, forty-something mother of five who was appalled because she started saying the F-word every chance she got! Her husbad asked if everything was O.K. because she never used to talk like that! :chuckle

I'm with you on that one!!! Goodness, with three kids six and under, two part time jobs, and a husband, I still have a good cry every now and then! Truth is, it makes me feel so much better when I am done.!

Man o man...if I didn't cry I would go insane. I think crying is a good thing, especially when it's done with a purpose. With me, the purpose is to let go of some negative energy and stress.:)

I've often wondered just how many years of my life are being taken off because of all of this stress... And that's just from making the As on years of pre-reqs so I could even get in... Lord help me come September.

I get soooo stressed out sometimes and have to have a good cry (usually before my time of the month). The thing that really sucks is that my eyes hurt for a day and I get a terrible headache!!! :o

I work a full-time job, a part time job, go to school, have a 12 year old and a boyfriend. Last Sunday when I found out my son needed to go to church on Sunday evenings, for catecism (??? sp ???) I just sat in my b/f car with tears streaming down my face. :bluecry1: Oh did I mention I also don't have a car?

So it's off on the bus with my school books to take my son to church.

Man...how am I ever going to handle nursing school??????

I'm with you! Real men don't cry, when I get upset the water a normal person would shed as tears comes out of the bulging vein in my forehead as perspiration:rotfl:

Good one ... :chuckle

I haven't cried over school for a few months, but my language ... my dh actually asked me to tone it down, and I used to be the one who had a problem with his choice of words.

I have no idea what purpose it serves to #!&*! my way through the day, but it seems to be my coping mechanism lately. :chuckle

Hah! That's me to a "T". I've never cried over school work, but I sure do LOVE to sling around those curse words. Man! Feels good!!

I curse so much during school, and I never used to talk like that. What's terrible is on the few holidays that I actually get to visit with aunts, cousins, etc.. and the f#%$ word comes flying out of my mouth, they almost have heart attacks. They just can't believe that I would talk like that. I use it in almost everyday conversation now. Have a nice f$%*@ day! Pretty nice F&%$#$% weather we're having! I didn't sleep a f&*%$# wink last night. The list goes on and on. I often have to catch myself.
