CRNE 7th october

Published

Hello,

I'm new to this site but am finding it really useful! I'm canadian but did my nursing degree in the UK, and I currently practicing in England. I'm due to sit the CRNE on the 7th October and have read some scary posts on its level of difficulty. I have the study guides and will continue to study for the next 8 weeks until I fly over to toronto to sit it. I'm extremely nervous....anybody got any further pointers for me????

I can't wait for my family to start our life in Canada pending me passing this exam (so no pressure Eh!)......and a new job in toronto would be great!!!!!

Good luck to all of those that are sitting it the same day as me!:nurse:

Hi breech! Congrats on passing the board exam! Just wonderig what is the passing grade and out of how much points? I'm very anxious!

I have no idea since it's a PASS/FAIL report. I believe there's a numerical figure report when you fail, but if you pass you will receive a CRNE certificate. I'm talking on behalf of CRNBC registrants.

Actually you're speaking for all CRNE writers. The result is communicated int he same manner across the country. Pass/fail, with a numeric value for those who were not successful. For anyone who is confused, please reread the sticky FAQ: The Canadian Registered Nurse Examination (CRNE).

Today I went to CARNA to pick up my temporary permit. I asked somebody from there if they got the results and she said "not yet!" So, we might have to wait longer here, in Alberta!

For Goodness' sake!!!! I just received my CRNE result today and I passed!! To be honest, I'm ready to receive a failing result because that exam was quiet hard... o my!! Thank God!!

Best wishes to everyone!!!

BTW, I'm a CRNBC registrant

Hi to all of you who took the October CRNE.

I'll be sitting the exam comes February 2010 and as I was reading to the threads, its quiet conclusive that the prep guide is what most all of you had been using. Can you still recommend it after you have taken the test? and how was it?

I am now feeling the same feelings that you've been expressing in your statements and it really scares me to death. I am still in the dilemma of finding a very good review materials that would really help me to pass. Can anybody out there especially those who took the October exam give inputs? please please.....

Focus on the CRNE prep guide and have some supplementary reading on Mosby's. Read and understand the rationale carefully especially on the prep guide. Read also the CNA's Code of Ethics, that would be helpful. Expose yourself to CRNE-type questions as much as you can.

The principle of the exam is based on the prep guide. But the actual exam is much harder. I''m not trying to scare you but just want to share what's happening in the real scenario.

Best of luck to you!!
