CRNE June 2009

World Canada CRNE

Published

Hi there! I'm writing the CRNE tomorrow and wanted to start this thread to get some chatter going to support each other. Anyone else writing tomorrow?

I'm nervous....somewhat! It's kind of a strange feeling actually. If I really let myself think about it, it frightens me to death, but then other times I'm completely calm. KWIM?? Anyone else going through these mix of emotions?

Anyway, I have to go get ready since I have to drive an hour and half out of town to write, and we're actually spending the night tonight.

Good luck to you all!

Hey everybody,

For people in Ontario, I called the CNO today to clarify how long it would take us to get our results back. The lady on the phone said up to 6 weeks and that she had not seen any results yet. I'll be calling again on tuesday :D Hahaha, I harass.

Hi Cheeca,

don't feel discouraged. You are not alone. Be positve and well-preared for the next time. Are you writing in Oct? I assume...

I believe from other posts by cheeca that this was attempt number 3. If that's the case, then unfortunately there won't be a next time for her. It really isn't an easy examination, as many have discovered.

I believe that in one of her posts, cheeca said she was in Alberta. There is absolutely no way to predict how quickly Canada Post will get your results to you. There are many postal sorting substations between Ottawa and most of us and it's not unusual for letter mail to take a week to go around the block. Patience is the good word for the next week or so.

My heart goes out to Sesdo and Cheeca, and cant help feeling that my fate would be the same. But like many have pointed out, its not the end of the world. We just have to pick up pieces and move on, and in the end, we will come out stronger!! Every time I get mail, my heart misses a few beats... I wish the results would just come through, and put me out of misery:o!

sorry to hear the bad news, cheeca and sesdo. but like brownie06, i am afraid that my fate will be the same. each day that we wait for the results is like a torture. i am hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst. God willing, we will all be smiling when we open our mail in the next week or so.

:o Yes it is true that was my 3rd and final attempt. I studeid very hard prior to the exam, even went to a course every week to improve my chances and did mock exams every week and was getting 88-90% on them. Can not understand what went wrong on the big day???? But all said and done I FAILED. The passing score was 141 points and I got 125.:cry: Good luck to all those who wait, hope your news is all GOOD

Hi June writers,

Anybody living in Ontario? Did you receive your results yet?

Hi,

This question is for janfrn, you seem like a seosoned user (I have seen your your name in older forums) have you noticed that those that fail the exam get their results earlier?

AND

Cheeca, this does not need to be your last attempt. I was looking around I found that you can take a competence test with the college (at your own expense) and by doing that they can assess your competence level and help you pass the exam (you have up to two chances once this test is completed) . I will find the website for you afterwards or you could simply call the college of nurses and they can assist you further.
