Crne february 5, 2014 takers

Published

Hi guys!

To all of you who took the CRNE last February 5, 2014, do you have any idea how many weeks should we wait for the results?

what could be the passing score? The exam was not an ordinary exam. I mean most of the cases are new (not the common dx of arf, crf, copd,mi etc). Also, the situations are not like for new Rn graduate.. I think you should have experience working in a hospital setting or special units because some of the questions are more of the routines in a hospital..not for nursing knowledge, anyways, good luck to all of us! In God, we trust!

I didn't know Canada Post still delivered mail on Saturday. Seems to me it's been about mmmm... 40 or so years since there was mail delivery on Saturdays.

Hi there, I'm in Scotland not Canada ! Royal Mail delivers six days a week, only day we dont get post is a Sunday. If you read my first post you would see I stated that I am an IEN from the UK, its a shame you automatically jumped to a conclusion.

Hey,

I just checked my cpp record, can't anyone who registered open this up and it will open up a new file for the person on the date that it was initiated? for example, i just checked today and now it says "RN record (08/03/14-30/09/14).

I wish it was a hint! haha two more weeks :nailbiting:

I am in Ontario and I haven't done bridging program. What about you?

Well... that makes it all the more interesting! If out-of-country people are getting their results and the ones living down the road from the College office aren't...

Jumping to a conclusion isn't that particularly difficult since many, many IENs writing the CRNE have already moved to Canada and are waiting on pins and needles to pass and get a job. I've been moderating this forum for 7 years (21 exam cycles) - which means reading EVERY post - so you can see that my point-of-view isn't exactly from ignorance.

What Is CPP, how you check that. I am currently working as RPN, wrote RN on feb 5. Want to know if it can help me. Pls let me know.

Just to confirm that I understand, you wrote the CRNE in Nova Scotia. But your results were mailed to Scotland?

In alberta CARNA's website has mycpp which stands for my continuing practice profile, we have to fill it out once we get our results from the CRNE I believe. Then we can practice as an RN? I think, not sure how Ontario does it

I'm from BC and have not received the CRNE results yet. This marks the 5th week of our waiting period and I hope to see a "Congratulations" in the mail soon!!

IM ALSO asking him/her if he/she took the crne here in Canada because from what I know, crne can only be done here in Canada? Re. Finding a job, i think it depends on the person's ability, knowledge, skills, exp, and perseverance to find a job. I know that theres a lot of ien's are not acquainted to Canadian health care and cultural competency which Ien's lack knowledge of.. plus the nursing research and writing a scholarly paper..plus the community and mental health care are fifferent.. But it depends.. there are also some Canadian educated nurses that lacks the skills "hands on" because the experience in a developing country is more hands on and hard core...
