Glory to God... I got my result today and I passed!!!

I'm very sorry for those who didn't make it. I can imagine what you guys are going thruogh becaue this was my second attempt. In addition to the CRNE Prep Guide I also used the Mosby's Comprehensive review, I went over my weak areas in the book and did the questions following including the comprehensive tests in the book. I also did the questions on the CD about twice(lots of questions on the CD). I studied chapters 2 and 3 very well (Professional practice and Health and Wellness). I love the book because every chapter has practice questions. I found the rationales very helpful because they will help you understand how to answer CRNE type questions. I also did a bit of KAPLAN Nclex questions too.

Good luck to you all that will retake the exam, but please don't loose confidence it goes a long way. Believe you will make it and you sure will. As you study, Keep praying, God will take care of you.

Hi, First off Congratulations for passing the CRNE! You must be really proud and you should be. I just wanted to ask you about the Mosby Comprehensive Review whats the entire title, I looked online and I found one for NCLEX is that the one you used? The other question I have is do you know anywhere I can get community questions?? This is my last chance with this exam and it would be very helpful if I can get any kind of help thank you.

MAY GOD BE PRAISED!!!

I passed too :)

Congrats to those who did too... For those who are waiting, my prayer is with you.

I am sorry for those who did not. God bless us all!

Hello, all,

Just got my result this evening - I passed.... such a relieve! Sorry for those who failed ... but i believe that you could make it in the near future...

Some suggestions:

- Read the nursing practice standard or guideline, ethics of nursing from website, make sure you really understand.

- Take the CRNE PRE-guide questions, take time to think about why you choose wrong option? why right?

- Focus on your weakness... there are lots of questions which need critical thinking, how to analyze & apply...

Hope it helps! really appreciate all the input on this thread...

Good luck to your next try!

got my results today... i passed :lol2::lol2::lol2:

congratulations to all who passed and good luck to those still waiting for results...

how long after we send the registration forms and fees can we get our license /registration number?? my temp permit will expire on december 6 and i'm hoping to get my license so i won't have to renew the temp permit...

If you live in the city where the college has their offices you can go down there and get your registration in person. Otherwise, it will depend on how many applications they are getting as to how long it will take. Around renewal time it might take two or three weeks. Since each province sets their own renewal dates, I can't really answer your question with any certainty. See if you can do your registration online with a credit card. Then all you need is your receipt to prove you have registration and the number can be added later.

yeahhh i got my result, it came in a small thin envelope...my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest. When I opened the envelope i was looking for the forms to re-write my exam but it was not in there so i read the CNO letter and it said "you have been successful" I was so happy I wanted to cry jumping up and down and of course the only person that was with me was my 15 months cousin who had no idea what was going on but inmitated me jumping up and down laughing. I would also like to mention this was my second attempt. Writing it for the second time i felt much better then I did the first time. Here is what I did

1. took a prep class (not helpful at all, they just give you more practice questions...would not recommend it to anyone..)

2. get a hold of all the previous CNA prep guide books (I got a hold of the 2nd, 3rd & 4th edition...practice with all those question and what a suprise some of the question were on the exam....I only used the old books because the CNA are the one who make the exam so I wanted to get more of an idea of what exactly type of question are they asking)

3. Made a small room into an exam room with about the same size table, with a scantron card (4th edition has the scantron card at the back) and a pencil. Practice everyday for about 3-4 hours on multiple choice questions as I can. (***this help me alot because in the exam I pretended I was in my room studying***)

Sorry to all those who did not pass, I know how you feel because I have been down that road, but dont worry with better luck next time you will soon experience the excitement I am having

Mhdyounes,

Good on you for getting all prepared already. I think the Kaplan Prep guide is actually pretty good...I read that and although it is generally for the NCLEX exam...they give some pretty good advice on how to handle multiple choice questions, teach you how they came to that conclusion and there are some practice questions in the back which include both psychosocial questions and medical/nursing questions. I don't know about everyone else, but I thought this October exam had a couple of questions you definitely needed to have theoretical knowledge to get the answer.

PS if you live in Vancouver, you can borrow the 3rd ed Prep guide from the library
