i think they make exceptions...in july my friend had to rewrite; however, he was not in the country. so when he came back they made an exception and he was able to write the october exam. but just to be sure, i suggest you give them a quick call.

I called CNO and inquired about that, the person I talked to said they were discussing about giving more time for exam registration for those affected, she also said that another option would be to fax you an exam registration form so the person could register and fax the form back to them today, then if you got your result and passed you make sure to withdraw b/4 the 1st of Dec. so you can get your money back.

And anyway they said they just mailed out the results yesterday. That''s ridiculous.

since i have not recieved my result yet and today is the due date to apply to re-write the exam does anyone know if cno will allow you to apply for even though it was not your fault the mail did not come

CNO said they will make exceptions to those who failed the October exam. Which means, you can still apply for the Feb exam. It waas like that for October exam as well. My application arrived CNO later than the due day, but they still accepted mine.

I would strongly suggest that if you have failed and need to rewrite in February that you get your application in ASAP after you learn your results. CNO might be willing to extend the deadline, but it would look very bad if a person waited until the end of the month to apply, knowing for a week or more that they've failed. And it wouldn't be unreasonable for CNO to reject the application in that scenario.

Am sorry to hear that, I think to me it would be better to do it February because the exam content is still fresh in ur mind and u could just study on ur weakest areas with in two month. June is long way for me because that means i have to re-study everything all over. And as of study advise do alot of multiple choice questions,1500-2000 questions that is what i did wh for my second time writing the exam. I still didnt get my result yet am waiting anxiously.

Hi, Thanks for your advice. I hope you get your good news soon.

Praise God! i passed the exam. it was my wife who opened my envelope because i was at work and i was so happy to learn that i passed. God is ever faithful.

Hi everyone,

I wrote my exam in ON, toronto. this was my first attempt, and i failed for 6 points. I was working under my temporary licence which is revoked right now. I can't work untill i pass the exam. it's very heart breaking and i'm very depressed. I also took 2 week prep course from nursing education. From my experience i found that prep course was not very helpful b/c the second booklet of my exam was full of community nursing and in prep course they didn't even touch the community nursing.

Now i wanted to join a prep course which is really really helpful. pls help me out here..........i don't know from should i srart studying again?

hi ann2008. deal with the issues first regarding your failing the exam. allow yourself to feel whatever negative feelings you have towards not passing because in this way you'll be able to pick up the pieces faster. it is only when you have dealt with your concerns regarding the exam that you can start concentrating on your review.

what i've done is that i read about 50 or more study questions everyday. i found it easier to recall details and facts when i read Q&A rather than reading textbooks. the books that i used were saunders Q&A and the CRNE prep guide. i also studied other nclex books.

hope this can help you

God bless
