anyone know the passing score?

The passing score really does not matter. The exam is Pass/Fail. Since the method of scoring the exam changes with each incarnation of it, and the CNA doesn't give any kind of explanation of those methods, it's really a moot point. Those who fail will get their score and suggestions on what areas they were weakest in. The rest will simply get a notice stating that "you've passed... now please remit a ton of money for your registration".

For those who have failed the CRNE twice, the only advice I can give is to figure out where your biggest difficulties lie and then make a supreme effort to overcome them. Having failed by 3 points this time is no guarantee that by answering three more questions correctly next time one will pass. Each exam is set separately and the types of questions, the number of questions, the focus of the questions will be different each time. There'd hardly be a point to using the exact same exam twice in a row because those who have failed once already need to have their knowledge tested even further. Anyone could memorize enough of the content of the exam to pass it the next time around if they used the same questions every time.

Was the exam not on October 8th? Please read my previous post about how the score doesn't matter UNLESS YOU'VE FAILED!

146 eh? Thank you very much for the information. I do know that the actual score does not matter but it gives me an idea of how people generally did on the exam etc

Hi, I believe SEC assessment is very essential. I applied at CARNA before and was advised to take the same assessment too but since I reside here in Ontario, I was'nt able to do it. It required my presence there for 3-5 days and would be very expensive for me. I would suggest you take that oppurtunity because you are already there. The assessment will show your strength and weakness which could help you more in your review. Exhaust every possible way to get that one remaining chance successfully. Also, learn carefully the style of the exam- that is psychosocial. Focus more on what they were asking on the questions. Anyway, you were improving on your scores I hope you'll make it the third time. More power and God bless you! Cheers!

I live in Edmonton and received the result this afternoon. I passed. Good Luck To Those Who Are Still Waiting!!!

I immigrated from a Asian country in 2002 at age of 35. I changed my career from Engineering to Nursing. I've just graduated from UofA. My advice for Feb exam takers will be:

Try CRNE Prep Guide questions repeatedly and try to develop your own skill on how to eliminate options based on your knowledge. I didn't have enough time to study for the exam but I did try to understand the rationale, especially when I did not agree with the answers. I think you need to reserve at least one full week to do this. Hope it helps.
