I just passed in Feburary. It is a MUST that you attend the Chancellors seminar in Indiana in order to pass the CPNE. I passed all stations and PCSs the first time around. There were 8 people at my test site, all that attended Chancellors passed, all that didn't failed. Take your CPNE at Meriter Hospital in Madison WI, the CE/CAs are awesome and forgiving. The Excelsior prep course is a total waste of time and money.

I passed on June 13-15th. I didn't go to Chancellor's workshop, but I've heard good things about it. :) I went to Lynn's workshop early in my studies -- http://www.clinicalprepexam.com -- and then to Tina Logan's workshop in PA at the end of my studies, two weeks before my CPNE: http://www.necpneworkshop.com. Did I need two workshops? Probably not ... but I wanted 'em! :) Both were invaluable.
Another piece of advice: visit Excelsior's Electronic Peer Network (EPN). There is so much great discussion there!
i became eligible last month for the cpne, I have the EC study guide, Rob's video, a copy of study aides off ebay. I live in phoenix so workshops out west are limited so im taking the next EC workshop here. EPN on excelsior is EXTREMLY informative. I have to say when you look, listen and read all the information out there, it can get a little stressful, you dont know who's version to go with, because your all only goal is to pass. But believe it or not, all of sudden it just clicks, you get your gameplan and that is all you focus on. Sure you might of wasted a few dollars, with one too many "study guides", but using the resources that are available and putting it all together, for what works for YOU, is the most important. goodluck to you
i took cpne in april and passed with no workshops!!!! i only had 2 weeks to really study. i had been studying somewhat before. i had no test date yet when they called with a cancellation date. i ordered the flash cards which break down the study guide into the easiest way to memorize it. however, don't neglect to read the study guide at least twice, esp. unit iv.:yeah:i was an lpn for 4 years plus other medical field experience.
