CPNE Date 7/27 at Northside Hospital

Well I broke down out of desperation for a date and took Northside Hospital. There was nothing else available and in reality, Northside is better for me and much cheaper in the long run. The hospital is 5 min from sheri's workshop location so I can stay at the same hotel I am staying at in a few weeks for the workshop. Not have to worry about being in an unfamiliar situation....I'm going to scope this place out in 2 weeks on one of my nights off after the workshop.

SO its official, I have my date. Let the crying begin. I am so unsure of this site however. Its so new, there is not much on it at all. If anyone here has been here let me know your thoughts. I know I am guaranteed a Peds patient, so I need to brush up on that part. But I have plently of time plus great supporters.

How did u get your date? U call her? I still have no date. I'm getting frustrated here.

I emailed her first thing this morning inquiring about cancellations at Grady in July and she returned my email at noon...she emailed me back and said she had Northside on July27th available....see if there is more than 1 spot at this hospital. Call her NOW :)))))) They close at 4 normally but with this being a holiday weekend, they may close early today. She has offered me dates over the phone before (well 1 date, that I declined at the same site but it was in May and would have been today). Call her and see what she has available?

Do u call EC adviser to get the cancellation date?

Or, once u register for it, EC notifies u whether u want to fill in the cancellation?

I called SPAC or emailed once a week since I applied asking about cancellation dates. She offered me one by phone once and I declined and she offered me 1 by email yesterday. After I snagged it, she sent me my package to fill out.

Oh Stupid Marriott. Called the reservation number which is the global number and asked for the SPAC rate just like my sheet says to use, they can't find it anywhere. Ugh - without the discount the amount is $473 for 5 nights but was hoping to save a little more with the discount rate.

I'm not sure about the Marriott, but when I went to reserve at the Hilton, in Albany I found that the "discount" wasn't much of a "discount". I would've saves 20 bucks a night reserving online. Good luck to you on your cpne.

My rate is pretty good I think, its like $139 for the first night and $69 for the rest of the nights. Plus, its right across the street. Can't beat that. Now if I could could figure out all these docs they want and why they sent me something that does not have a place for me to sign. I did get my confirmation page signed and uploaded but the site specific docs have no signature pages. Gonna call about that Tuesday.

When I called the hotel I will be staying at, I called the hotels direct # even though it was a Holiday Inn and asked for the Excelsior College rate. They found their code, no problem. I would try that and maybe save a little more. At this point any savings is good.

Well no wonder they couldn't find the rate....I told them I wanted the SPAC rate and when they asked what name that was I told them Southern Performance Asst Center....duh, should have said Excelsior. This is why I should not be allowed to use the phone before 7am....I called at 5am in the morning because I could not sleep. Thanks Wendy for the lightbulb!
