  1. I was about to register for pearson vue, and it was asking if I have any promotion voucher. Is there a way I get the voucher promotion discount code when registering for NCLEX RN?
  2. do big testing sites like in New York City usually have nclex test schedule in the afternoon? My job ends around 1 pm, so I am hoping that peason vue have test schedules after 2pm.
  3. anjule....if u are concerned about care plan...well so am i... anyway...ec has care plan conference
  4. I can't get vitals from some elderly people -- sometimes radial, sometimes apical. Is it ok to spend 10 to 20 minutes just on pulse, as long as I finish the whole implementation on time? I don't understand why so many...so many people fail on vitals.... they have access to previous reading... do they know, in worst cases when they couldn't find the vitals after spending the whole time, that they can use the previous readings to have some idea and to try again?
  5. how do u know ur evaluation? they told me that, first, they don't even look at til i m eligible, and second i have to pay to have my past courses evaluated for bsn or ms. (i guess they used to evaluate for free and whenever it was requested.) i dunno what Straighterlin is, but i have a bach of art from top school and master's from so so school. ec said that since i already have a bach degree, i can enroll for their master's when i m done w what i m doing. i don't care what i enroll...bsn or master's as long as if it gives a better chance of landing a job. (writing on my resume that i am currently enrolled in blah blah..)
  6. so, we can't enroll for bsn until we pass nclex? and what kind of rule change is it? it might be better to enroll before this rule change? i m curious whether putting down as current bsn track (or master's track) on my resume gives a better change of getting a job. cuz, w our economy, ADN will get me nowhere but a nursing home.
  7. i paid and logged on to sheri's online site. it has videos on several area of care. but it does not cover the entire list of area of care. is this just me or do u notice that too? i mean...i dunno how anybody would need more than a month to see these videos. it seems just couple-of-days-materials to me.... am i missing anything?
  8. thx. can't even imagine the joy u must've had when u were done. some wrote they rotate within that region, but some say they don't. well...i checked all hospitals because i was willing to take any site. i guess i just take this site.
  9. I got a date. it is on 9/7 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. do u know about this hospital, or anyone taking it there w me? should i grab this one now? even if i grab it now, i can still try to change site whose date is not too far since I put down one day cancellation notice, right? i'm reading other pple's cpne experiences from this location. there were a few negative things. i want this weekend date to be a memorable one, not a disaster. do CEs stay in one location, or do they rotate and move to different site? why does utica location seem to have so many passing, if ce are all the same? (i applied for cpne on 7/9 with ready date 7/9, and it' s only 2 months after. for specific locations, i checked all in npac. i was hoping that i take it in august.)
  10. if u search "CPNE notes from EC grad" in this site. allen poe looking person uploaded a good file for us to read.
  11. yeah...what about sheri that i mentioned? i dunno anything about her, but if this is ur last chance, u need more than just this leaving comments here now and then.
  12. again....if u search for "cpne workshop" in ec website, u will find the workshop schedule and everything... it took me some patience first but..... wait.... this is ur third try and u still don't know about any workshop? i dunno...man....i say u read cpne study guide again..
  13. i searched for "cpne preparation" in ec website. i m sure u know all this by now. how about contacting sheri's in atlanta? she is an expert in cpne. she also has online version too. i m going to albany workshop bc i m in ny.
  14. Inori, thnx for your reply, but i disagree when u said the following: No you do not focus on trying to get everything right no matter how long it takes. You work at the pace of 1.36 mins per questions trying to get the right answer in approx the alloted time. assuming you'll be getting all 265 questions. Anyways good luck and do lotsa practice questions so that you're doing kaplan level questions at that speed and enough stamina to handle 265 questions with 2 short breaks and do it within 6 hr limint including breaks. because it's better to get each Q right, instead of having a minute per Q pace. then, i wouldn't even be in "running out of time" situ even when i do just 75 Qs. i feel more comfortable when i spend > 2 min. for those tricky sata Qs.
  15. as u see from my threads, i opinion went from purposely going SUPER slow to purposely taking all my time to make sure that i get each Q right. i learned the importance of taking time for each Q from this thread.
