CPNE Application Submitted

So happy for you Loops!! You're finally here with us!!!!!!:) Congrats!

At long last, my application for CPNE has finally been submitted! I decided to do MPAC, which seems to really be lacking sites, I was given 2 possibilities for WI, 1 in Ohio and Lubbock which I skipped as the drive would be almost as long as NY for me. I wish I could have done NY for the faster testing date and NY seems to be more CPNE friendly (am I nuts here, is it just me? I had 2 people tell me personally that they had easier going CE's on the 2nd try with NPAC after testing in WI!) So I put my ready date as 9/1/2011 with a 1 week cancel. When should I start in with Sherri's workshop? I plan on starting the CPNE bible today for the 1st round. FCCA will be here 7/12/2011 and I am calling to schedule my last....LAST....L...A...S...T Clep exam (analyze/interp) today too!

Congrats!! Start sheris asap- you cant be too soon with the cpne prep imo!! Let us know when you get a date!!

I heard the mid west was tough. I plan on testing in NY. I was going to do Shari's online as soon as my FCCA came.....but I guess it comes on the 12th? oh God.

congrats, me too I submitted my cpne app. today i scheduled my workshop for sept. i decided to go to npac they are scheduling in sept/oct and the fla and ga are eight months out so i'm going north. i have so much to do yet i start my shadowing at the hospitla this month and next then as i said the workshop i'm going to start the careplan practice with ec tomorrow wish me luck anyone else going to the sept workshop in orlando let me know thanks for letting me talk to someone alicia.

I wish so much that I could have tested NPAC too!! I have had to resolve that even with it's rather negative reputation I am going into the MPAC as prepared as I possibly can be. I am attacking this with every bit of energy I posses & every ounce of obsession I have acquired over the last 20 years, lol!!!

I'm puuling for you guys! Loops, you'll do fine there, or anywhere.

OH my! NPAC is now scheduling way out also. I applyed and have waited for weeks, I called this morning and they told me NPAC is not doing October or later schedules for four more weeks. Add onto the 6 + month wait for CPNE , the 3-12 week wait to do the state required clinicals that can not be done untill after CPNE, then add three weeks to do the clinicals and 12 weeks for clinical results then two months to process the application for NCLEX and it is almost a year of waiting after having finished my last nursing class. I wish clinicals could be done during the wait for CPNE.

Pretty sure they are referring to the CPNE- it's where you go to a testing site for a weekend and show the EC preceptors basically what you know!

I am aware of what the CPNE is. My application is on my desk. She said she wished we could do our clinicals whil waiting to do the CPNE. What is she yalking about?

In some states such as AZ where I am from you have to do so many clinical hours after the CPNE to be able to sit state boards. If your state requires any hours you would have signed a paper of understanding that you have to do them.

Go to your state board of nursing to see if you have to take them.
