  1. oh thanks. Yes some weeks I can spend 30 hours, but some I dont have 10. They wanted a speadsheet with 20 hours worked in and it made me nervous..... thanks for the quick response.
  2. I got my degree plan and it is spread out over 2 years!!! I picked WGU because I heard it was the quickest...hmmmmm... Also just finished their onine orientation. They want a spreadsheet with 20 hours a week dedicated to this. Is this true??? I went to excelsiior on 10 hrs a week, and was planning on doing the same. At my rate it should take me 4 years..OMG... LOL Someone tell me if they really need 20 hours a week for this??? thanks
  3. I just moved my start date to March 1st...... ugh jan...NY
  4. OMG!!! I just read that a BSN from Excelsior takes 4-4.5 years???? Is this true??? I just starting investigating the colleges. Soooo confusing. Do I want to go from RN-MSN or just get my BSN? I don't know. The thought of going back at all is making me kinda sick. Maybe I should just move to a State that actually hires ASN's. I earned my RN through Excelsior, and wanted to stay with them, but 4.5 years. I don't have that kind of attention span. WGU can be done in 6 months but it doesnt transfer? Statistics-,expo writing, upper level ethics??? UGH.... as always guys, thanks for listening.
  5. I sat for my NCLEX this am. 8 oclock! my favorite time.......not. Anyhow, the screen turned blue after 75 questions...sounds familiar right? However, I did not think I passed any of the questions. The topic of the questions were familiar, but the choices were not. I know I bombed the last easy math question....nerves. I left there thinking that was the dumbest test I ever took in my life. Here is my question..... I came home and received a good pop up. Is that possible??? I thought the way I was answering, I would have gotten more than 75 questions. Since it shut off (and I know some were wrong) doesn't that mean I bombed this thing. And if so, what is with the good pop up??? I am sorry to be rambling, I am just confused. Did I actually pass??? How do you pay the $8.00 for the quick results? I called pearson and someone with a thick accent told me I had to wait 3 days for the unofficial results. I couldn't find that anywhere on pearsons site. What happens after the 3 days "unofficial" news. How do I get the official news. If anyone has any answers for me, I would greatly appriceciate it. I can't just sit here and bite my nails for 2-3 days.
  6. I plan on taking my bsn somewhere......Ec makes the most sense since I just finished my ADN there, however I did not inquire how much it would be. I haven't even passed my NCLEX yet..lol I was hoping to get a job to help pay for my bsn, but it does not look good.. I guess I will investigate the costs of all these programs as soon as I pass my boards.
  7. omg you sound like you are going to be busy. I was going to look into ec bsn, but I have to pass my nclex first! lol
  8. It was much easier the second time around.....you know what to expect, you know how the pcs's flow etc. the labs are a given. You know what they expect you to do....no surprises there. I did all the aoc's on a friend all together. charted them all. You will see that they do not take much time to do. I used Tina Logan's careplan site, and loved it. She is amazing, but I don't know if she is doing them any longer. Do a workshop somewhere, and re read the guide. good luck
  9. I doesn't matter where you go.....It matters who you get. And I think it is the same CE's that travel from Albany to Syracuse to Utica....... You will do fine the second time around. I know it.
  10. I don't know what the point of that is anyway...... another class they can charge for. It makes no sense
  11. Utica was ok.....same as any other I think. If you put 6 people in a room, you will love one, like 2,hate one, and tolerate the rest. that is what it was. I think if you pass at a site, you love it. and if you fail, you hate it. I just think it is luck of the draw to get the CE's that you love, and like.... and try to avoid the others...lol Hated the Hotel. The Holiday Inn doesn't have an elevator. So I had to schlep all my labs and books up a flight of stairs.....like 8 trips. I am way too old and out of shape for that! Good luck to all that have to go.....it is worth it!
  12. I went up to Utica early..... I have an old friend here. passed...Finally! You know what to expect the second time around. lol When is your date back to Albany???
  13. finally! lol. Thanks to everyone here for all your support. I couldn't have done it without many of you. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
  14. OMG!!! I just read on the epn board that we are supposed to chart our meds (levonox, insuling etc) in the other narrative box. I though we signed the paper mar that the ce keeps in her pocket. I swear I never heard that before!!! I am testing next friday, and hate reading new stuff to stress over. Does anyone know if this is true?? I need to stay off that Damn board!!!!!
  15. I will let you know how Utica is......
