Hey everyone! When you find out when you're going to COT and where you get stationed, let everyone know!
I just found out today! I'm going to COT in January, and got stationed at Travis, which was my second choice! I'll also be doing NTP in Scottsdale, AZ, only 2 hours away from where I live - which is really really convenient!
Good luck to everyone! If you haven't heard today, I'm guessing you'll hear by Monday or Tuesday... if you're an NTP candidate, at least. I think maybe people with experience are going to hear later than us, according to some other posts I've read?

Hi,
I'm going to COT in January as well. I'm doing NTP in Cincinatti Ohio. From there I will be stationed at Langley AFB which was my 4th or 5th choice lol. Oh well - excited for the adventure but scared as heck! :sofahider

Hi, I'm recently joining all nurses and I only joined because I wanted to send you a message. I am a January COTS hopeful and I've been on edge awaiting an answer. I see that you will be stationed at Langley; I live in Hampton, VA and I am trying to be stationed here, it was my first choice. My husband is air force, so we are supposed to have joint spousal, but we shall see. I don't know if you know but Langley is building a much bigger hospital; therefore, they need all of the nurses they can get. I toured the medical unit and ICU; the people seemed really nice and it was very laid back b/c there are not a lot of patients. ICU was pretty much empty, maybe one to two patients. But some of them go over to the navy hospital just for the experience (Just the ICU nurses). I hear that there is a lot of training and preparation to ensure that you will be comfortable working. I only heard and visualized positive things. So good luck, feel free to message me at any time. I'm sure you will enjoy. Are you an experienced nurse or did you just graduate?

I have been reading your posts for months! I'm so excited that we are going to COT together - I wonder if we will somehow find each other in Alabama!

Congrats to all of you who was approved... It's making me very anxious and nervous at the same time to join. I just hope I'm making the right choice.

Congrats to all you who know! I'm still waiting. GRRRrrrr.
I'm hoping for Langley, but will take what I get. I'm an ICU RN.
Hang in there Adam! Maybe Monday will be the day we get our calls.

I was just told on Thursday that I made it!!!!
I don't graduate till May, so I will take my boards, and most likely not head to COT until August.
I am still waiting to hear where I will be stationed and all that jazz, but I am glad to know that I made it!
We'll have to set something up the day before COT. I don't know when everyone's getting there, but maybe we could all meet up for our "last meal" before eating at chow hall for 4 weeks!! :)
I'd love that, Jennifer! (Haha, it's cool knowing what you look like from the fbook page!) I don't know when Jodi and I will get there - I'm assuming the 10th? - but a "last meal" would be great! We'll see what we can arrange as the time gets closer and we know more, huh?
Can't wait to meet you (all of you in Jan COT) in person!
:)
