  1. Hi, I sent you a PM - I hope it worked!! Let me know if it didn't :)
  2. Hi Sandy D8 - Sounds great! I should have an idea about my flight arrival time soon - I will be leaving from Boston. Hopefully we can make this work! Thanks for the information. I am so nervous !! Do you want me to PM you with a phone number etc?
  3. Congrats!! That's great. I hope everyone hears too!!
  4. Yeah - I'm freaking out a little over it!! My recruiter thinks my orders will be in soon. Kind of worried though . The good thing about going to COT in march is that we can all give you tips on do's and don'ts so you will be ahead of the game when you get there!! My friend who applied around the same time as me hasn't heard anything either - I feel really bad. My fingers are crossed for everyone - you will make it and by then you will be so good at pushups that you will be able to pump out more than 50 in a minute!! Thanks for the well wishes - wish we would be seeing you there.
  5. This may be a ridiculous idea - but does anybody want to try to meet at the airport on Monday and go over to Maxwell together depending on arrival times etc??
  6. Hmm how do we find this government taxi service? Maybe if our flights end up landing around the same time we can meet in the airport and take a cab together. Hopefully they also tell us what building to go to once on base!! Ugg I HATE traveling alone lol...
  7. Hi, Sounds great. My orders haven't come in yet. Do you have facebook? We have a COT facebook group called AF COT Class 10-02 :)
  8. Just a quick question for everyone - What day are you leaving for COT? Are you flying or driving? And if you are flying how are you getting from the airport to Maxwell??
  9. Hi, I think by the end of COT, when it's time for our PT test you will be just fine. I have been using this website http://hundredpushups.com/ which Carolinapooh had reccommended and it seems to be working. I printed out the booklet and am going to take it along with me just in case there is time to practice. Definately keep going with as many modified pushups as you can. Try to do a couple reps and rest for as long as you need in between - then do a couple more. I honestly believe there are a lot of us struggling with pushups but we can all do it!!
  10. Hi Sandy D8, I'm really nervous about COT!! And can only hope that I am ready. Physically, I think I have the running down pat as I was always a runner (to stay in shape). I am borderline with the pushups and some days are better than others. Glad to hear that you are excited for your permanent duty location :) !! Have you received your orders yet? What day are you flying out to Maxwell?
  11. I'm not sure actually - on the initial checklist - the first link I pasted - it just specifies that women need to buy pumps and low quarters - it doesn't list dress boots because I was wondering the same thing. Maybe we should check with our recruiters lol. I can't imagine needing pumps - oxfords - dress boots - combat boots - and slip ons - as well as sneakers lol. Our whole suitcases will be full of just shoes!
  12. of course! http://www.au.af.mil/au/holmcenter/ots/documents/cotuniformchecklist.pdf (this is the list of uniform items we need - it came from the following website which also has some great information: http://www.au.af.mil/au/holmcenter/ots/cot-rcot/additionalinfo.asp ) http://www.afoats.af.mil/ots/documents/afi36-2903.pdf (this tells you every detail of how to wear your uniform. it's a large document - use your "find" search bar to locate specific sections like "shoes" ) http://www.au.af.mil/au/holmcenter/ots/cot-rcot/commissionedofficertraining.asp (this is just the general cot / ots website - pretty useful!) i hope this helps :)
  13. Hi, I'm trying to purchase the proper shoes (oxfords and pumps) for AF dress uniforms. I've found a few that seem to be within the regulations. I have to say oxfords are not the most feminine or flattering shoes. The pumps are also a little 80's - but at least a little more feminine lol. Does anyone have any tips of what to buy? Any particular brands or websites to find these shoes? Do I buy the high-gloss / patent or matte "finish"? I was thinking of getting the pumps in a matte and the oxfords in patent/ glossy. Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
