There is allot of discussion on news media bias. I thought I would start a topic dedicated to this. I find the best way to gather information of any topic is to read various sources of different political leanings.
To start the conversation, I'll submitt this news story.
A headline from Fox News and one from MDNSBC. Note the different headlines and contents.

Daisy4RN cited articles about how Trump was wrongly reported by media. Maybe you missed that.
So that person (Trump supporter)is okay or complacent with white supremacy because Trump had dinner with one? And is guilty by association from all the allegations against Trump? This was the spin from the original media I referenced.
That's a media manipulation tactic. To categorize a person, as bad or negative because they support someone who is either a known "insert here" or is alleged to "insert here". Some people may be a Trump supporters but not think the election was stolen. However because they like Trump, that means they were in support of the capital riot and they are insurrectionist. See how that worked. Media on all sides use this manipulation tactic. And so do politicians. You know, "if you're not for me and you're for Trump then you ain't black" - Joe Biden 2020 Election campaign.
nursej22 said:Wah, Wah. A non-trump voter doesn't agree with you, they must be biased.
Agree with me on exactly what?I.don't even know what this conversation is at this point.
I didn't know if you were a "non Trump voter" or not. I do not make assumptions.
Yippy, neeeto! (Immature child reference opposite of wah, wah).

Guilt by association for Trump supporters was the spin in the article you cited? Really? Maybe you could quote the language in the article that spun that.
No member here said that all Trump supporters are insurrectionists or are in support of the 010621 attempt to overthrow our government. Just because Trump doesn't mind hiring or dining with well known white supremacists doesn't mean that his supporters are cool with that. Some of his supporters are not okay with that and they get irritable or defensive when they fear that they might also be associated with white supremacy because of that support for Trump.

It wasn't about Trump. It was about bias. It attempted to associate Trump as a white supremist. It failed to provide evidence to this.
Trump is a super dupper racist terrorist okay? He is the worst POTUS ever!
Anyone who associates themselves according to who someone has dinner with is an idiot.
Seriously. He's not the POTUS. Get over your Trump hysteria.
nursej22 said:Sure, whatever you say.
You don't want a discussion, you just want everyone to be amazed with your not-so-original premise that media can be biased.
Yes because media bias is a new thing! I just discovered it! If I wanted everyone to think I'm amazing I wouldn't be on a forum polluted with Trump hysteria. I'd probably find a place were most opinions are the same and no one challenges me. Like the people on here.
I was trying to discuss media bias with a story that was UNFAVORABLE to Trump. Everyone immediately thought I was defending Trump and went way far left (pun intended) and totally missed the point.

No it didn't try to associate Trump with anything. It reported on Trump's dinner with a white supremacist.
I would suggest that it's not my comments that reflect some type of hysteria. I'm simply pointing out that the article doesn't do what you claim it does. You, after all, are the person who cited the article and brought it into the conversation.

"A forum polluted with Trump hysteria"
"Like the people on here"
I keep trying to discuss the bias claim of that article with you but the replies are increasingly unresponsive.
Tell me what about the article "attempted" to associate Trump as a white supremacist. It reported the dinner. It reported known facts. Was there some speculative language that I missed? Let's talk about the article and the bias that you see.

Oh, I see now. You are the victim here and everyone else missed the point and is refusing to discuss your opinion about media bias.
Actually, I looked back and can't even find the article about the former president and him dining with an antisemite and a white supremacist.

Yes it does. What is a "Trump supporter"? You try to "other" conservatives in order to make generalizations and off the cuff remarks. Or to disuade someone's opinion by equating them to Trump. "If you like Trump then you like a guy who had dinner with a white supremacist". This isca common media bias tactic used by left winged media.
Why is Trump being brought up right now? We are not even talking about him aside from the long lost discussion of the first story I referenced.
What is the "victim card"?
