Community Health...who has taken or wil be taking?

Did anyone in sections other than mine have to use citations and references, along with APA formatting for the Windshield Survery assigment? Our directions didn't mention this and I found out only after taking a look at the Q&A board.

Not having a real good time in this class . . .

I really don't understand the value of the quiz questions. These questions are centered on minutiae that is so mundane and inconsequential it is rendered invaluable for us as students. On some of the questions all of the answers could be correct. I think they need to reread chapter 8 and come up with a better system for teaching and evaluating the process of how they test us on the material.

I think you may have wanted to say "worthless" rather than "invaluable", in which case, I agree wholeheartedly

I don't recall reading about use of citations, but then again my brain is so fried after turning that thing in that I'm probably not a good source of information. Anyway, I did include some citations, but they were the same ones from my community statistics assignment (I was referencing the same Healthy People objective, etc.).

Who knows. I'm just glad to be done with the horrid thing.

Chuckster…Everything for this class needs to be referenced or you'll get dinged. Even if you are STRETCHING to find to quote something. Find a reference!!!

I hope this class gets better for your guys. I thought it was rough when I took it, but after reading you're comments, my class now seems like a BREEZE…….

I did not reference anything else but in the analysis part. This was not my finest work because after underestimating the time this took, my time and brain ran out. :eek: I ended up with 16 pages and at the end I did not even care anymore. I wanted that &*(*&^(%*& submitted and out of my sight. We will never get those our back lol

I thought this week's quiz was KILLER compared to last week. Don't feel so good about. Especially with how heavy they are weighing in with our grades...

I agree. I had a bad feeling after taking this quiz. I was fortunate to get 100% (by guessing correctly) on the last quiz. I also did well on my assignment. I'm in section 123....TA doesn't seem that difficult. I'll know more after this week. I just about lost my mind with that windshield survey.

Mine was 13 pages long. I had 8 references...(2 referred, not including that book). The rest were websites. I hated that assignment and I don't think I will like this weeks either!

It made me LOL because my TA said that the windshield survey was "a favorite assignment." Uhhhh....whose favorite? Ours, for typing for hours on end or theirs for having to read all of our 16-page surveys? :bugeyes:

I actually do a lot of volunteer work in the inner city, so I do have an interest in community nursing. Had to look beyond this class to not break my focus!!!!
