I find myself craving certain meals after an exceptionally long/stressful shift. None of it is ever healthy!! Tonight was one of those nights. It got me thinking... what comfort food do you crave after a difficult shift?

I'll go first.

I LOVE anything with syrup-- pancakes (especially with chocolate chips!!), waffles, and french toast. That syrup melts away all the stress of the day! My other big-time comfort meal is bacon, eggs, and fried tomatoes. I'm not quite sure why it's all breakfast food...

Just about anything that has to do with either breakfast, or espresso with chocolate. =)

If it is summer or hot weather-and as I live in Florida that's pretty much all year round-BlueBell Ice cream...especially Tropical paradise or vanilla with strawberries or mint chocolate chip.

with a Coke Zero (so much better than regular diet coke) because I am counting calories...:lol2:

To be perfectly honest?

Turkey & Cheese Lunchables. It has a little bit of everything - salty, crunchy, carbs, a drink, and a small dessert.

I don't want to go anywhere near Lunchables except for when I finish a string of long shifts. Nothing tastes better at eight AM!

One time, I went to the grocery store bound and determined to buy something else, something closer to REAL FOOD. I swear I wondered around the store for forty-five minutes...and only walked out with the Lunchables!
