Thought it'd be a good idea to start a thread for prospective applicants to Columbia's ETP program starting Summer 2011. I was going to apply last year but passed on it in favor of working for another year.
Applications are due November 15, 2010! Right around the corner ...
Anyone else preparing for this also?
I am planning on applying to the psych ETP program next fall. I have a 3.4 undergrad GPA and a masters in clinical social work (3.9). I am currently working as a psychotherapist with clients who have mental illness. I also volunteer with a hospice. Still need to take the GRE. Any idea as to what my chances would be? Good luck to everyone!
Hi everyone,
I've applied for the 2011 ETP, ANP. On the Columbia website under the ETP FAQ section, it says:
"When will I know my decision?
All BS/MS ETP applicants are informed of their decision the first week of February."
Just thought I'd pass this on. Perhaps we'll hear this week??
Best of luck to everyone.
As we all hold our breath waiting for a response, I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who asked insightful questions, and all of those who took the time to answer them. I found this thread particularly helpful, as well as a source of comfort. However, at this point, like many others, I'm waiting on tenter hooks to find out if I was admitted. I applied to the CRNA track, and knowing that it is probably the most competitive program available (since only 10 students are admitted a year), I'm finding the wait particularly painful. Good luck everyone! :hpygrp:
Tricky, tricky Columbia Nursing School...
So yesterday, when I copied and pasted the info in my last message (see post #111 on this page) directly from the Columbia website, it said we would be notified this week.
Mysteriously, the wording has been changed *in the past 24 hours*:
"When will I know my decision?
All BS/MS ETP applicants are informed of their decision in February."
No joke!
