Hey everyone. I was just wondering who applied to Columbia University's ETP program.

I got an email today telling me to keep logging into the website where I applied to check on the status of my application. Has anyone else got this email? And does anyone know approximately when they begin to post decisions?

I'm nervous as this was my #2 school.

I'm ANP. Didn't some people already get accepted to that specialty?

im psych. got the acceptance letter on tuesday night.

I was accepted in ANP on Tuesday night ... one of the "fluke" emails.

midwife2012 and planet612,

i was accepted for midwifery and whnp too! i'm still waiting to hear from some other schools and will have a difficult decision to make. i've never been to the east cost either (i live in michigan), and it'll be a big change. i'm excited though! i look forward to meeting you though if i do choose columbia!

Ok so it looks like people who have been accepted, all received their notification on Tuesday. No one got anything on Wednesday. Do all of you receive the error email along with your acceptance? Do all of you get a response from Oscar (FA guru)? So far I noticed psych, fnp, pnp, midwife, and anp have been accepted.

I have several theories 1. They either sent out 180 acceptances and working on the 470 rejection letters. However, they could have also sent the rejections in bulk right after. 2. They truly made a mistake and only the people on Tuesday got the letters. 3. Our applications are not in any order and they are just input everything in until the last person, then let everyone know.

Codeblue, don't stress so much! Just take a deep breath and try and relax a little! Maybe they're just saving the best for last :) and those that went out on Tuesday were just a mistake. I know all this waiting is hard, I still have to wait for one more decision and I don't think it'll be coming anytime soon. Try and take your mind off of it for a while, go out and enjoy the day!

So wait .. some people didn't receive any e.mail on Tuesday night? When you login to your online application do you see any link at the bottom of the page? On a good note, it seems like the only people who know their status are those of us involved in Tuesday night's mistake ... and someone said that Jose said that not all acceptances went out Tuesday night. So Tuesday night was probably only the mistakes and then there are still a ton more of everythings to be sent out ... today or tomorrow.

Benzhuzhu - I'm PNP. You're ACNP right? Where are you from? I just finished my BS in Bio from UCSD and am back home in LA now.

I'm just curious, but does anyone know if we can switch specialties after we start the program?

Hahahaha this whole thing is pure pandemonium. I really wish we had our decisions.

As long as you don't want to switch to anasthesia or midwifery (because they are very competitive & have limited space) you are allowed to change speacialties among the others if you have a change of heart.
