Columbia University-ETP

Published

Hey everyone. I was just wondering who applied to Columbia University's ETP program.

I got an email today telling me to keep logging into the website where I applied to check on the status of my application. Has anyone else got this email? And does anyone know approximately when they begin to post decisions?

I'm nervous as this was my #2 school.

hey everyone- I am new to the forum and am ecstatic to say I got an acceptance from Columbia yesterday for the Adult NP track (after a near heart-attack from Judy's emails!) I currently live in Brooklyn and would be more than happy to answer questions about New York (I've been here for about 4 years) and if any of you are coming in a day early or staying the night after visiting day I'd love to all meet up at a bar and hang-out and get to know my potential classmates (still waiting to hear from Yale).

Anyway I just wanted to say "congrats" to everyone and I look forward to reading/hearing more from all of you.

I vote yes on meeting up!

I applied for ANP. How many ANP applicants do they typically accept? Anyone know?

I serioulsy lost sleep last night worrying about it! I started doubting myself as a candidate. I finished all the prereqs w/ only one B and the rest w/ As. I reread all my recommendation letters and went through my application. I tried yoga, gym, reading... calmed my nerves a little. I woke up every hour to check my email and reading updates on this forum. I am five hours behind NY, so I finally called Jose and got what I posted earlier.

Today I got a call from the hospital to go into work. Did several EKG and one codeblue and kept me busy. I'm assuming they're are going to post all decisions tomorrow, since it gives them time to do it today (hopefully). Just curious if some of you have gotten accepted can share your GPAs and GRE scores. You can private me if you don't want to post that on here, I'd appreciate it.

Honey, baby, sweetie... You are giving me high blood pressure! Sending all my good vibes to you! Post as soon as you hear that you get in!

Regarding the stats: 1200 on GREs and the GPA is a so complicated, I don't even know. Got all As in the sciences though as well as psych and statistics. Can't remember the rest of my grades really. I had one excellent letter of recommendation. And I thought my personal statement was pretty convincing and heartfelt.

I can proudly say that I was able to channel my stress into two new poems.

Hey there,

I'm happy to say I got my acceptance yesterday, congrats to those of you who did and I'm praying for those of you who have not heard :) I'm looking forward to a long, stressful, rewarding journey with everyone. Is anyone else here entering the program to become a CNM, I'm doing that in combo with women's health nurse practitioner.

I'm also stressing about how I'm gonna be able to pay for it all. I did a bad thing and did not submit my fafsa yet. Tomorrow, definitely!

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this post. I got accepted for Nurse Midwifery track yesterday. I was really surprised at the decision since I got rejected by UCSF and Yale for the same track. I checked the posts and noticed many people are in midwifery track so i am thinking they might sent out the decisions for this track only. (I am totally guessing) so hang in there everybody!

I live in Berkeley, finishing my undergraduate this semester and move to NY right after my graduation if I decide to attend. (I will probably go since I only applied to 3 schools and I was thrilled that I got into one of them:eek:) But the high tuition and the idea of moving to NY by myself really scared me. (I never been to east side in my life)

well I better get back to my big annoying lab report.

Anyway, it's nice talking to you guys and I am wishing best luck for the people who are still waiting.

codeblue, you seem like an amazing candidate, just hang in there and i'm sure you'll get what you want/deserve!! i know i'm rooting for you!!! as for GPA, I had a 3.87 (graduated last may) and my GRE scores were a 1050 (which is pretty average, myabe even a little below), and I was accepted for the Psychiatric specialty. Hang in there and definately keep us posted on how it goes! Good luck!!!

You guys! I am so excited! I need to go back and read everyone's post - this thing is growing now and I wish i could be on here 24/7 to talk to all of you! Who is for sure going to attend? Is everyone going to visiting day? Who's NNP? Anyone else? I put in my deposit this morning! I AM SO EXCITED!:D wooooooo!

I am in for ANP. Is there anyone out there from Vermont who is going?

mribera1

I'm NNP!

Yay Sevillaes! Are you sooo excited? Will you be @ visiting day? Where are you from?

mribera1,

I'm super excited (but I'm also waiting to hear from Rush and UIC, so we'll see)! Unfortunately, I won't be at visiting day since I have a previous engagement at Northwestern (where I'm currently an undergraduate). Like I said, I'm currently an undergraduate at Northwestern University in Chicago, though my family lives about 45 minutes from Columbia. Where are you from?/What's your background, etc?

GO NNPs!
