Columbia ETP 2015

Published

Has anyone started a thread yet? The application is due in 174 days and as you can see I'm already obsessing.

Anyone else?!

I don't know if we've discussed this here, but where is everyone from? I'm from Long Island, NY. Approx. 1+ hrs by train & subway from Columbia.

I'm from lower Manhattan so it's a pretty quick ride only half hour to Columbia but I might be moving =(

I hear you all, I got rejected from UCSF, not getting an interview was kinda a kick in the gut after all that work. I'm from Northern California so it is the east coast or bust for me. I got an Interview at yale but who knows how that will pan out. Best of luck to you all!!!!

We still have some time.. and Columbia has a thing for Northern Cali peeps lol =) 6 of my friends that graduated from the program are from Northern CA lol =) ..

Good Luck w/ Yale

It's all right! It's competitive and there's not enough teachers/PHDs in nursing for more students to be admitted these days so don't feel bad! You still have other schools. I didn't get an interview to Yale so I hope that makes you feel better. I'm from California too. :)

Same here!

At the info session they discussed how NY and CA are the states where the most applicants come from. (I love California!) Seems those stats fit well into this thread lol.

Moving? Yuck. Will you at least still be in the state?

I'm from Boston, so Columbia would require me to fully move. It's funny how that worries me more than a lot of other aspects of nursing school.

I'm from Los Angeles :)

I would totally stay in state and within the 5 boroughs. If I get into Columbia I'd probably move more uptown.

Good call. Just taking the subway from Penn is a pain, so if you can get closer to campus, go for it! :) I wish I could move closer...but my husband's job is like 5 minutes from our house, so it's quite convenient for him.

Lol my husband works downtown but realistically if I get accepted we most definitely can't afford to live downtown! Lol.. So at least one of us can get to work/school on time :) .

i currently travel an hour and a half to my college which is beyond dreadful!!
