Collin College ADN SPRING 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I am hoping to be part of the Collin College Spring 2018 Nursing Class and I want to start a new thread where other potential students can communicate with one another. I am taking Micro this summer and plan on submitting my nursing application by the August deadline. I will be taking my PSB exam at the end of July.

Collin no longer gives potential students access to the point system used to rank students. Does anyone know what a competitive PSB score is?

I have a 3.75 for my co-requisites and I am hoping to maintain my 4.0 in my pre-requisites. Can anyone offer any insight on PSB scores?

Thanks in advance!

Maria

Yeah I figured as much. Darn, the wait continues. The recruiter may be able to provide a more accurate date, however I am hesitant in emailing her because I imagine she is inundated with student emails posing the same question.:nurse:

I was tempted to call her, but had the same hesitation. I HATE waiting!

I emailed her :) haha. She said 4 to 6 weeks.

I called the nursing department and he said they should go out October 1st, but that is a Sunday. SO, maybe we could see our letters by the end of next week. Clearly no one really knows :p

They are killing me lol

Haha, thanks for emailing her! I think they like to keep us in suspense. I was hoping to know by next week but alas it looks like it may be two more weeks

I couldn't help myself and I called the nursing department again. I was advised that the selection process is still in the works and that letters would be sent out first to second week of October.

I spoke to a young man this time. Usually when I call it always seem to be the same lady that picks up

The young man is who I talked to... Seems that may be his "default answer"... Maybe he's under promising and they will over deliver!

i sure hope so. It is all a mystery:sneaky:

I think it is taking a long time because they have so many qualified applicants. Everyone who posted their stats on here seem very competitive.

Well, there really aren't many people on this forum, and it is the only one I can find for Spring 2018 applicants. I think they're just taking the standard amount of time it usually takes them, 4-6 weeks.

the five week mark is closing in!:nailbiting:

latest update: called nursing department (female answered). She said letters should be sent this week.

At least notification comes by mail for Collin, my other choice sends emails and I have been glued to my cell phone stalking my inbox. With mail I can check once a day and be done.

Thanks for the update, mavwagg. It's my birthday tomorrow and getting an acceptance letter from Collin would be the best present ever! That said, a rejection letter would be a bummer. Just so anxious waiting for any response at this point.
