COC Fall 2014 accepted students!

Hi Everyone!

I am starting this thread for anyone who has been accepted into the COC Fall 2014 Program.

My hope is that here, we can discuss everything from orientation to whatever! I have started working on folder 1 and folder 2. Everything in folder 2 must be received by the Nursing Department by 5/29.

Cant wait until we get our section numbers emailed to us. Still about a month from now, but i am Excited!!!!

healthworks has a pretty quick turnaround. I went in yesterday and they already emailed me the results! I suggest you guys go there if you can, yeah, it's $72 but they also assured me that I wasn't the first COC nursing student to do the drug test, so all 10 will be covered. One less thing to worry about!

So i did mine yesterday at like 4:30 at the lady told me i would have the results by Tuesday. I said well, someone else told me they got theirs back the next day. She told me it depends on the day and time. And since i went after the lab picked up today, the lab wasnt going to be picking up my sample until 10 this morning. Thumbs down! Lol. I wanted to cross it off my list. I live crossing stuff off my lists!

Are you doing the fire class tomorrow?

Looks like we received the email from Kaplan....have NO idea what to do now. LOL. Email is very vague. Will check it out when I get home.

Does anyone know what to do with the Kaplan email we received? I clicked around on it, but there isn't an area designated for COC students or anything specific. If no one else knows, I will call the nursing department tomorrow. I clicked on the current students link and it says $129 but I'm not sure if that is correct because the brochure stated otherwise. And we are supposed to do this each semester sooo....I dunno.

Hey @excited1. Sorry I've been MIA! I see what you mean on the Kaplan website where it says $129 for the exam prep, but i'm not sure if that's what we need?? It is vague.... Also, I tried to PM you to get in better contact, but I don't think this site will let me just yet....

I sent the email to the nursing department. Someone replied stating we will be receiving an other email soon with specific payment instructions. She spoke with Kaplan today and they were unable to provide her with an ETA. I Was advised to await to hear from them and we should still have plenty of time to pay by the 5/29 deadline. That was today.
