Hey, I am feeling giddy today. Sooooo....will ask for COB rollcall and year graduated from *first* nursing school (whether that be LPN/LVN or RN or even throw in the CNA date)...

I graduated in 1990 with my LPN. I was a CNA for at least 6 months prior to that. :)

is anyone keeping track? Who gets the winning title of 'Crustiest COB' . (ahh grasshopper) .

I LOVE YOU GUYS! You have saved my life as a nurse. It actually feels good to be old! Oops, I mean seasoned.

Can I be a baby bat? I graduated in 2009. lol.

Now? A true COB! Nurse Ratchet is my role model. I'm thankful for all of the twist and turns that have brought me to this career.

It's "Nurse Ratched," not "Nurse Ratchet."

BSN 1982. MSN 1990.

My preceptor had a patient call her Nurse Rached recently, and she took great offense, thinking it was a racial slur...

Racial? I don't know of that meaning but all the kids at school use "ratchet" as ugly or skanky.

Old Time Gym Teacher comes in to my office and calls me Nurse Ratched in front of the kids and they die because they think he just called me an ugly skank.

I tried to explain about the movie, but got that glazed over look from them, so I sent them back to class!
