CNA's graduating in March-April!

Published

This thread is for those of us who are enrolled in a CNA course right now, and/OR will be certified between March and April. Here is where we rant, network, and/or brag about the way our course (s) are going, our experiences finding a job after our course/internship is completed, and what our plans are for the future (Nursing school, etc.).

We started this topic in another thread, lets keep this going! :heartbeat

Here is a little YouTube humor for all of us potential CNA's. A typical day in the life of a Certified Nursing Assistant :yeah::

Good luck with the test.. I actually was a nervous wreck when I took mine over a year ago. I had taken the class at CCRI and my instructor had us shaking in our boots. She told us to memorize that booklet and not to make one iota of a mistake of you'd fail. The testers were very nice, they cut you some slack. I thought for sure the person I was paired up with would fail. She did so many procedures wrong but he passed her. I myself admitted I forgot to check the temp on the water for peri-care and he said "that's ok I gave it to you anyway." The written test was not as bas as I thought either. Alot of it was common sense anyway. GOOD LUCK :loveya:

Hi there! My name is Natasha and I just finished my CNA course at Academy of Nurses Assistants in San Antonio, TX. I am taking my certification exam on May 31st. I got a job at the facility where we did clinicals, and I am very excited about it. I'm a pre-nursing student, I have applied to Baptist School of Health Professions for their RN program in Fall of 2009. I am really looking forward to working as a CNA during the summer, I loved my clinicals.

Congrats everyone! I take my State Board exam in June. I got the opportunity to see my friends CNA License because she passed about a week ago!

It was as small as a debit card! :p

So I couldnt help but think to myself: Wow. I spent $1400 on this little piece of paper? + spent all this time studying + worrying for a License the size of a Library Card? HaHa. Well, it just so happens that the little piece of paper is worth about $2000 with all the $$ I spent, but is going to be invaluable to the beginning of my Nursing Career.

Best wishes to everyone on this journey!

I hope you do great on your exam in June!! It really isnt that bad just study! ;) Good Luck!!;)

At least you get something lol. In MD all of our licenses are paperless, meaning if we want to see them (or prospect employers) we gotta go onto the MBON website:down:

I live in Kentucky so I will be taking the Red Cross classes in Louisville. I start on February 9th and end on March 7th. Is there anyone else by any chance going to be taking the same CNA class in Louisville on those dates? I am so so so excited about this, I wish February would come faster (haha although I will probably be regretting that statement when I have to drive about 20 miles to Louisville and 20 miles back home every Monday, Wednesday and Thrusday, but oh well it will be definitely worth it!
