Thank you for responding so quickly, I'm really nervous about the test and I don't want to study material that is not going to be on the test I will buy the book, I just wanted to make sure it was worth the money.Did you pass on the first try? and what sections of the book should I really concentrate on?
  2. Quick question, I'm scheduled to take the NET in a few weeks and would like to know the best study guide, I went to the library and the only guide they have is the 3rd edition of Barron's nursing school entrance exam,is this a good book to study? or should I buy the NET study guide at the book store? also are there science questions on the test? If someone has a good study guide I am willing to purchase it, I really want to do well on this test. If there is anyone out there that can help I would appreciate it... I live in arlington texas, and plan on attending concorde in arlington. Thanks!!!

  9. I see that tcc offers an lvn program... has anyone taken the class? how hard is it to get in? what pre req's are required? I have to be accepted into the program before twc will pay for the class,if anyone has gone this route please let me know what steps I need to proceed with being accepted into the program. 11. How are your classes going?
  12. Big thanks, you were very helpful!!
  13. Does anyone know of any agencies in the DFW area that is willing to send out new cna's for work? I know there are agencies for lpn's and rn's...and do you know if the pay is any better compared to ltc...how do I find agencies in my area?I've googled but no luck.sometimes you just have to know. Thanks for any help.
  14. Thanks for your quick response, now I have another question...I will be completing my cna class april 29th and will sit for state may 17th, I was told that I would have a better chance of landing a job in a hospital if I volunteer,I looked into it a found that the process would take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks to get started with background check, shots etc. I only have 4 weeks until I'm finished with the class,2 weeks down time before the test, then it's time to start looking for employment, do you think it's to late to start volunteering? what else can I do to make my application standout.I really want to work in a hospital for the training opposed to ltc.
  15. I would like to hear from you texas guys and gals,I have heard that Harris Methodist Hospital will train you if you are going for a degree,or certificate you can work part-time and get full-time pay is this true? also will they hire cna's and if so will they help you learn the ropes before they turn you lose on your own, or will they expect you to jump right in since you are fresh out of school and expect you to know what you are doing? I will be looking for a job pretty soon and would like to know the best hospitals to start looking at in the fort worth, arlington area. Thnks for your input:)
