Club 265: PLEASE PLEASE READ and give input! :)

Published

I'm the new president of Club 265! None of my nursing friends/co-workers had 265 on nclex. They all shut off at 75 and passed (I'm talking like 30 people) and I sat today for almost 6 hours (I'm a slow tester anyway) and answered 265. About 20 SATA's which were cinchy in comparison to the "pick one" questions. weird?????????

I got to such a point of frustration at around 150 that I might have blown it. I'm talking in tears and everything. Took a break, told myself "have a quick little pity party for fun then get peeved and take that exam DOWN!"

Yah, um, just couldn't get past the frustration and exhaustion. I'm my own worst enemy. I certainly don't think it helped me to know about everyone else. It put on some serious pressure (self-inflicted, I know)

So, what's the status of any other Club 265 members? Looking for some comfort here. Let me know either way whether you just took it, took it a long time ago, passed with 265, failed with 265 etc....

Congratulations!

265Q on Thursday and I just could not wait for results. Paid Pearsonvue for results. I PASSED!!!!!!!! I was a wreck, but 265 does NOT mean failure

Thanks Suzanne4

I really appreciate the courage of the original poster to say she got 265 questions. It is encouraging to me that so many people have posted in just a few days. I got 265 questions as well and don't know at this point if I passed but I will post later when I know and I will post whether I fail or pass.

I took the test yesterday morning at 8 AM and didn't get out until 12:40 PM. During the test I felt like I hadn't studied at all. Nothing seemed to make sense to me. I don't remember much about the test at all and at one point I was having a panic attack and saw spots before my eyes. I felt defeated and wanted to go home and take a nap but had to stop at two stores for errands.

Then I came home and tried to find something decent to watch but couldn't. I have the Lord of the Rings movies in extended editions. So I watched the first one yesterday. That chewed up almost 4 hours. During the movie I decided that if I don't pass I am not going to keep it a secret I am going to simply tell everyone I was just not prepared, this is not the worst thing that has ever happened to me and I will simply study and re-test. I am a fighter. I want to fail with grace and show success after failure. I can be an inspiration to others. I am putting this out there to keep me honest and keep this as my goal in case I don't pass.

Of course I checked Pearson this morning to see if my results were ready and they were not and I wasn't on my board of nursing (didn't expect to be). Funny thing is I paid Pearson yesterday and it said I passed but that was the results from getting my LPN. Darn... I need to read what I am paying for!

I wonder what the stats are for people passing with 265.

Congratulations to everyone who even made it to taking the NCLEX. We all know that is a huge success in itself. Good luck to all who wait.

Congratulations melj721 and missteewee!!!

Good luck to those still waiting for your results, remember number of questions means nothing, this test is tough!!!

Oscar, I am sorry your results were not what you wanted. You will get there next time, you know what to expect and obviously you were very close. Look at the letter telling you where your weak areas were and concentrate on those and get back in the game.

I took NCLEX on July 2nd with 265 questions and did not pass! really upset about it. Planning on trying Suzanne's plan this time! Good luck everyone else!

1st time: 265 questions-5 hours-failed

45 day until retake

2nd time: 75 questions-1.5 hour-prayer-passed

That is what i'm hoping for nsgchica....exactly that! I had 265q the first time around it took me 4 hours, I have to wait 45 days and I'm hoping and praying that I will only have 75 so that I don't freak out like I did the first time! Wish me luck!

Hey everyone, this is a great thread. I too tested at 265, and feel so discouraged. I think I failed. My name is not up yet, and I tested july 2nd and I am in CA. which doesn't ahve quick results.

So, good luck to all of you, I see a lot of you ahve passed with 265....wish it was me.

The exam was so long, almost 5 and a half hours. I took my time intentionally, but at the same time, I wished it was 75....when does the exam determine by then that one has to test all the way through 265?? I have wondered that all weekend.:no:

I took NCLEX on July 2nd with 265 questions and did not pass! really upset about it. Planning on trying Suzanne's plan this time! Good luck everyone else!

Sorry to hear that. I tested too on jul 2nd, didn't find anything yet.

I tested to 265. Suzanne's plan is a great way to review...by the way!

Good luck to ya:heartbeat:loveya:

I took the test on Saturday, July 5th at 8 AM central time. I found out by paying PearsonVue at 8:08 AM yesterday (48 hours later) that I passed. This morning (3 days later) I found my name and license number on my state board of nursing. I still don't feel like I passed so if you feel that way there is still hope that you passed.

I wish everyone who takes the NCLEX the best of luck in passing and if you have to re-test I hope you pass and admire your courage to study all over again and try again!

We all understand how hard the title RN is to achieve. :yeah:
