I'm the new president of Club 265! None of my nursing friends/co-workers had 265 on nclex. They all shut off at 75 and passed (I'm talking like 30 people) and I sat today for almost 6 hours (I'm a slow tester anyway) and answered 265. About 20 SATA's which were cinchy in comparison to the "pick one" questions. weird?????????
I got to such a point of frustration at around 150 that I might have blown it. I'm talking in tears and everything. Took a break, told myself "have a quick little pity party for fun then get peeved and take that exam DOWN!"
Yah, um, just couldn't get past the frustration and exhaustion. I'm my own worst enemy. I certainly don't think it helped me to know about everyone else. It put on some serious pressure (self-inflicted, I know)
So, what's the status of any other Club 265 members? Looking for some comfort here. Let me know either way whether you just took it, took it a long time ago, passed with 265, failed with 265 etc....
i passed! omg! it's like a trillion pounds lifted off my shoulders!!!!!!
and my husband.... i can't even explain how excited, relieved, happy he was for me, for us.
he's been so amazing since the beginning so it made me so happy to hear his voice of relief. it's been so hard on him too. he really, truely has carried my burden with me. financially, emotionally everything. i've decided to make him an "honorary rn!" lol
thanks everyone. i hope i can give encouragement to others like you all have for me. :redbeathe:heartbeat
I know this may not apply to your friends/co-workers, but I know several RNs who claim they got 75, when I know that is not the truth... Just something to remember. Also, last year they increased the difficulty of the questions as well as the percentage needed for passing...BTW, I passed last summer with around 215 (when the computer shut off I was so happy I started crying so don't know exactly what number I was on) on my first try... Positive thoughts!
Just to clear up something that you have posted. The percentage that it increased by in determining the level of questions for passing is less than a decimal point, so not any significant change that anyone would even notice.
Whether or not, someone got a number that they said they did really shoud not matter and there is actually no way to know unless they told you; there is no way to find out how many questions that someone had otherwise. And the length of time that it takes to complete the exam is most certainly not indicative of the number of questions, nor if they passed.

congrats!!!!! I would give anything right about now to be in your position! I am literally driving myself nuts.....and just as soon as I start to feel like i may still have a chance theres this immediate thought of "who am I kidding". I just want it to be over and find out I really did pass! but congrats again!
i hear ya!!! its like i feel like i am waiting on a miracle! not to mention i have to work a 12 tomorrow when the results will be posted. nobody in my family wants to check cause they don't want to be the one to break the news if in case my gut is right in feeling i didn't pass! so i feel like i am waiting forever! how did you, lpullam, feel like you did throughout the test?? I know i kept getting questions like...you just got report who would you see first and alot of question like in an infection control meeting which statement is correct?!?! i feel like i must have gotten those wrong alot of i kept getting similar. in the math area i got 3 calculations (which is a good area for me) so i was a little disappointed by that!
I as well had a lot of the who would you see first, and the infection control questions. I did only have 1 calculation though. Also, I felt the same, in that, I continuously got the "same" question with different answer choices, so to me that said that I was getting them wrong. I really have no idea how i feel about the test. I felt ok while I was taking it, but when i was contintually getting the same questions it was discouraging. I am not even sure when I will find out my results. VA is not one of the states that provies the "quick results".

Yes two did tell me. A nurse I met when hired as a new grad claimed to getting 75 questions and passing (first time), after a few months and a friendship was forged he/she confided in actually having gotten more questions but being embarrassed... Another friend I had during school, came home from the test devastated and claiming to have gotten 75 questions. No one could understand why he/she was so upset, until several months later when he/she admitted to having gotten more than 75. The reasoning from both these nurses was that immediately after the test their egos were hurt (because it seemed everyone else got 75) and just decided to claim 75 as well... I was just trying to ease the anxiety of the OP by pointing out just because 30 people say they passed with 75, it may not be so.
