Club 265: PLEASE PLEASE READ and give input! :)

Published

I'm the new president of Club 265! None of my nursing friends/co-workers had 265 on nclex. They all shut off at 75 and passed (I'm talking like 30 people) and I sat today for almost 6 hours (I'm a slow tester anyway) and answered 265. About 20 SATA's which were cinchy in comparison to the "pick one" questions. weird?????????

I got to such a point of frustration at around 150 that I might have blown it. I'm talking in tears and everything. Took a break, told myself "have a quick little pity party for fun then get peeved and take that exam DOWN!"

Yah, um, just couldn't get past the frustration and exhaustion. I'm my own worst enemy. I certainly don't think it helped me to know about everyone else. It put on some serious pressure (self-inflicted, I know)

So, what's the status of any other Club 265 members? Looking for some comfort here. Let me know either way whether you just took it, took it a long time ago, passed with 265, failed with 265 etc....

My BON updated this morning and my name is not up there. I am so disappointed and know almost for sure that I didn't pass. My name should have been there by now, I tested july 2nd. I am so disappointed and just have to take my own advice that I gave to everyone, that I just have to pick the pieces back up again!

Doesn't mean anything, average for Ca is 3-10 days and if you haven't heard after 2 weeks recommend you contact BON. Was your file complete before you sat cos that can cause a delay. Wait for your results before deciding whether you have failed or not

Thanks for the advice silverdragon....I called and my file is complete. Is there a delay for re-takers? Will an official letter for pass only be sent and not updated on the BON for re-takers?

I don't understand...I really prepared this time. It should have been up there by now, and it's not....

Depends if anyone has actually reviewed your file and results. From what I can gather there is a high group at the moment taking exams for Ca so may have a delaid effect on people getting their results. Hang in there until you hear officially then take it from there. Again good luck

All I can say is goodluck. I waited for a month to recieve the results but when I didn't see my name up there for 2 weeks I just knew. Anyways regardless of what you get pass or fail, just keep trying. I left my job and everything just to focus my mind on this..even my family doesnt know that I left my job..all they know is that I'm off for 1month.

I took the test on Saturday, July 5th at 8 AM central time. I found out by paying PearsonVue at 8:08 AM yesterday (48 hours later) that I passed. This morning (3 days later) I found my name and license number on my state board of nursing. I still don't feel like I passed so if you feel that way there is still hope that you passed.

I wish everyone who takes the NCLEX the best of luck in passing and if you have to re-test I hope you pass and admire your courage to study all over again and try again!

We all understand how hard the title RN is to achieve. :yeah:

Just wanted to add...

I took a review course a few weeks ago and the instructor told us that when she took the NCLEX, she got 265 q's and was a nervous wreck through the whole thing, only to find out later that she was in a "test batch" of test takers that the NCLEX people will do just for research purposes. They STILL do this..... So just because you got 265 q's does NOT mean you failed, you very well may be one of these test batch takers.

There is no way they will tell you you are in a batch. They are testing questions all the time, x amount of questions you answer will be test questions and because of the way it is designed the numbers you take will vary depending on how you answer the questions.

So does that mean that 265 is an indefinite number to possibly pass?

I tested at 265 on July 1st and still have not found out! I have not slept and my blood pressure is through the roof. Almost everyone I know who took it around the same time has found out on the CA website already. Any one had the same situation and found out they passed in the mail? How long did it take you?

hello, i too had the experience of 265 questions.....i took the test 2times too...

first time i did the ati review and i dont think i did enough practice questions.

the 2nd time i did suzanes plan only the 1st part , study saunders really hard reviewed all questions w/cd &book and rationals... and i passed the 2nd time w/265 questions.....and the time almost ran out ....

Thank God!!! I PASSED... all 265 questions... God is Good... it can be done.. Just have faith.. :yeah:
