Has anyone CLEP tested out of a class they know nothing about? All my regular classes were science classes, but I need to either CLEP Sociology or take it as a regular class within an already full load of nursing classes this semester. Will purchasing the study guides and cramming for 2 weeks be enough to pass? Any advice is appreciated.
OMG! I CLEP'd Sociology abt two weeks ago....IT WAS HORRIBLE:eek:! I was really suprisied at how completely ignorant about society I am:uhoh3:! THANK THE LORD that passing is 50% because I got a 55% ! My advice is to CRAM for 2 weeks and then HURRY and take the test! I studied for it, but was so bored by the information I was unable to retain any of it...well I guess I retained 55%!
Good luck and get that sucker over with!

I agree, I think clep in worth a try. I just received my REA Biology w/ CD I brought from Amazon and I brought an old edition Biology Text from half.com for a $1.00.
As soon as I get through all the topics listed on the clep website and complete the tests in the REA study guide. I will test.
I did a clep for sociology and English lit and they were both pretty simple. I thought they'd be a lot tougher and studied way more than I needed to. Much better than sitting in a boring class.
Hi. How was English lit. CLEP exam? Was it the sophomore eng lit for UTA? I plan on taking the CLEP. Any study tips?

Have not used CLEP. Would rather go through an intense 5 to 8 week short term course at a local community college to have the benefit of more than one graded item upon which to earn the grade. Too much for one exam is the way I look at CLEP or DANTES.
